  1. I would never go to Washington DC right now! It's absolutely disgusting right now how this government is attacking their own citizens. I'll wait till we have a new President and we are free citizens and can enjoy our vacations again.

  2. I've lived in the DC area for 7 years. Here's a few other places you missed:

-U.S. National Arboretum, free, closes at 5 pm every day
-Smithsonian National Zoological Park, free, closes at 6 pm every day
-National Harbor (technically in MD), has lots of historical figures and a ferris wheel
-MGM National Harbor Hotel & Casino (next to National Harbor), everything is overpriced, but it's free to walk around and there's free parking
-Eden Center (in VA), this is a Vietnamese community center with lots of shops, restaurants, and bubble tea places. Way better than the DC Chinatown for Asian food.
-Tysons Corner Center (in VA), one of the biggest malls in America (rank 8th)
-Mosaic District (in VA), a great hangout place, lots of shops and restaurants, including a Target and a movie theater that serves food

  3. Best time to visit DC is in the fall or spring with beautiful weather and smaller crowds. And there are dozens of other great areas to see other than the major tourist attractions.

  4. You visited my city so this was fun to watch and that wander home was amazing! I think this shows your family aren’t New Yorkers anymore but suburbanites lol. Bella can’t walk and ya’ll can’t handle the heat cause you’re used to driving everywhere. lol No sneakers for the distance you covered. No hat for sun protection. But Chloe is beautiful.

  5. LOL I love how the security guard explains it to your daughter so casually like " its been here since 9/11" like your daughter instantly gets the reference smh lol. Great Video!!

  6. two things:
    1) it's funny that they called it a budget friendly vacation destination, cuz DC is honestly one of the most expensive cities in the US lol
    2) as someone who's lived in DC area for a lil over a decade, honestly a lot of the stuff here is overrated lol. I aint gonna lie

  7. I just spent all day planning our weeks trip to DC and it is place that you do need tickets to places. You could have gotten a tour of the Whitehouse with a ticket and same with the capital. I broke the days out to places that are near each other.

  8. The capital building tour is really cool! The doors weigh 10 tons each and can only be opened from the inside. Weird how they could have just closed the doors and not let anyone in on jan 6, but they chose not to..weird

  9. Should've left the kids and husband at home. What's brutally honest they didn't appreciate DC and it's history. I appreciate your input and energy and FF each time you had your kids and husband on.

  10. Two things: First, I can't believe how big Bella is now. I remember when you first announced you were having a baby. Have i been a subscriber that long?
Secondly, I couldn't believe the barricade around the White House. We were just there this past April of 2025 (three months before you posted this video) and we were able to go right up to the fence and touch it. People (including me) were sticking our cameras inside the bars of the fence to get good unobstructed pictures and video of it. I have family in DC and have gone to the White House numerous times over the years since the eighties. I've never seen the road blocked off like that.

  11. hi Sarah. I watched a lot of your videos about nyc and spent 2 great weeks there, enjoyed every day of it. then we came here to dc for a week and got shocked that its such a quiet city. attractions are far away from each other, public transportation isnt as impressive and convenient as that of nyc. although dc has awesome free museums, we missed the vibe and energy nyc has. air space and national art gallery are my favorites. the latter one has da vinci, van gogh, picasso paintings. african american musem is cool. skipped the natural history as i visited the one in nyc. got into the us congress building and the library next to it. both have exquisite interiors. saw the FBI building just out of curiosity. public transportation is more expensive than nyc. dc doesnt have a 7 day unlimited card, has only for 3 days and more expensive than NYC. locals may not bother but that disappointed us. the heat and mosquitos are horrible. apart from the museums i couldnt find much to do as a tourist.

  12. My wife and I were watching this video tonight and noticed that the map showing the Washington Monument is actually Atlanta, Georgia (where we live). We know this because one of the landmarks is Ponce City Market, 9 Mile, Tacos and Tequila and Atlanta Beltline. We love the content though! Just wanted to tell you 😃

  13. If you don’t want crowds go Super Bowl weekend. You’ll have the place to yourself and it won’t be hot.

Also you can tour the Whitehouse but you need to arrange it through your house member plus go through a background check.

  14. A few suggestions if I may; a) the FDR Memorial, which is free, and is a series of monuments, not just one. It is shaded so it might be very relaxing on a hot day that you experienced. One of my favorite places b) right nearby is the MLK Jr monument, just beautifully sculpted, c) the Air and Space Museum near Dulles Airport. That is a drive away (30-40 min.) but at least you won't have the added stress of where to park a vehicle. It is not free, but it is a museum set in a gigantic hangar, and there are more planes (then the one in the Smithsonian) and a space shuttle. I found it absolutely fascinating. It also has an IMAX theater. As for bringing young children, I recommend bringing them to either Legoland, Sesame Place, or any other amusement park geared for young children. Near me is the Long Island Children's Museum. Thanks for yet another great video!!!
