While New York City already has a population of over 8 million, it welcomes around 65 million visitors each year. Over the course of 4 days, we explore NYC’s most populated borough, Manhattan, to find some of the city’s BEST food and can’t miss attractions. While we make it to several highly rated, well-known spots, we also search for hard to find, underground, hidden gems. You’ll need to bring your appetite and hand sanitizer for this one!

After the episode, if you have any places we missed that you would add to our travel itinerary, be sure to leave your recommendations in the comments.

  2. The Met Cloisters belongs in a four-day Manhattan itinerary. Take the A to 190th and pair it with a walk through Fort Tryon Park, especially if you want a quieter break from Midtown.

  3. Growing-up in Brooklyn -NYC-I assumed forests were surrounded by city streets and pizza was what “fast-food” restaurants sold. Having lived in other cities I know that’s not so. I’m now retired, living in Flushing, Queens (NYC) which has the largest Chinatown in America. It has churches of every religion; public transportation that gets me into midtown Manhattan in less than half hour. I love the diversity. NYC is a bit pricey, and has its share of problems. It also shows what can be great about America.

  4. Welcome to my neck of the woods! Hope you had a nice visit here. I've been living in NY for over 60 years and I've seen the good, the bad, and the very, very ugly. Its always nice to see NYC through the eyes and lens of someone visiting for the first time. Your video was very enjoyable, especially seeing my old stomping grounds of Central Park.

  5. I’ve been an avid travel vlog watcher for years and can’t believe I’m just starting to watch yours. Love your content I wish to only change that you please start muting or putting something over the sound when Jamie scrapes the fork with her teeth while eating. It gives me the chills like nails on a chalkboard.

  6. Enjoyed the video as usual! It was a slick edit too!

We loved our trip to NYC and can't wait to go back. Although, I think no New York Itinerary is complete without going to a Broadway show!

  7. You had me at the search for the perfect New York pizza slice! 😂🍕 I love how you mixed the iconic NYC stops with all the little food finds along the way. Katz’s is one of those places we still need to experience! Such a fun way to explore the city.

  8. I don't know how anybody could live in New York, but it does seem like a cool place to visit… And then promptly leave😂😂😂 it's a lot!!!😂😂😂

  9. I just realized I closed my comment and forgot the best food I didn't see you try. The bagels! They are the yummiest in NY. I always bring them back or have family bring to me since you can't get them in Florida. I also love Bialys. Super yummy. Im adding this second comment since I can't find the other, lol. Thanks for sharing!

  10. I have a new favorite video!!’ This one of course!! Manhattan is such an amazing place. I’ve met so many famous people there. There is a restaurant there called Silvia’s. It’s got the best southern cooking I have ever had. For your next trip there you should try Silvia’s. You’re bound to run into someone famous there as well. Everybody goes there. Great video as always. Btw… you have got the most adorable outfits for your videos. Stay blessed and can’t wait for the next video ❤❤❤

  11. Are you still in NYC? If so get out of there. It's not what it was. Come see Long Island. Take the train to Montauk. It's beautiful. There are a ton of awesome beaches on Long Island. ToBay fun fact is the beach was actually the place of the photo shoot that made Marilyn Monroe famous. We have a bar in the main Pavillion on the deck . The sunrise is beautiful there ans you can often see dolphin playing near the sunken ship. Sometimes whales. Across the parking lot is the bay side. The is a restaurant on the water and we have a sunset party with live bands every night in thw summer. Same side as the bay is the marina with a great beach ⛱️ to watch sunset if you want it to be more quiet. Message me if you want more info. That is middle of the island. We have the Jones Beach Nikkon theater. Home of where many concerts are done. JONES Beach has a nice boardwalk and field 4 has a bath house with a salt water pool. Back in the day water ballet was performed in it. There is a splash pad there as well. It is historic. Along the same south shore is Long Beach. There are a bunch of nice beaches and there is a boardwalk but it is impossible to park. If you go the other direction on ocean parkway you wind up at the fire Island light house field 4 (I Think) where you can park across from the Coast Guard station at the last beach on this part of the island. You can also pick up a ferry to Fire Island. Long Island also has Port Jefferson. That's a nice place to walk around. The steam room has good food. The Danbury Inn is beautiful to stay at. You can grab a ferry to Connecticut there. In Old Bethpage there is a restoration village where you can go in almost every house and learn about the family and era. SAGAMORE hill home of Teddy Roosevelt is not far and there is a beach there as well. You can tour his home.Going out east following Montauk hwy or Sunrise hwy you will arrive in amagasett 1st then you can visit Montauk and the Hamptons. This is home to many famous folk. Billy Joel lives in Oyster bay as well as many other famous people. Ralph Macchia(Karate kid Johnny from the outsiders) lives in Huntington. I could go on but you get the picture. There is a ton of great places and food on Long island. It is also where The Goerge Washington spies lived…it is called the Culper Trail. We have great Italian food here. BORRELLI'S in East Meadow is delicious and has been run by the same family since the 1950s. We have a great Bakery in Bethpage named Mascotos. Many of the Brooklyn and Queens Italians migrated to Long Island in the 1950s. Maybe you would want to visit and do some explorationing on Long Island. Very safe and a lot to do and see. We have parrots 🦜 too! They fly around but most are in Wantagh and Bethpage. If you go to Wantagh park you will see a bunch and there is a pool right on the ⛱️ beach. You can see Jones beach from the promenade and when the air show comes to town you can see it from Wantagh park. There's much more but this is a strat. Hope to see you on the Island one day…btw some have referred to the Island as The Keys north. Hope you enjoyed NYC. You should have stayed in MARGARITAVILLE or Marriott in Times Square. They are near the TKTS booth under the stairs in Duffy Square. All the stuff on the side walk are knock offs. Never buy them. Rays and Rosa's are more famous for their Pizza 🍕 and Sophie's has great Columbian food in NYC. Hope to see you do a video on our very historic island.

  12. I was born and raised in Queens, NY. Growing up, my family used to drive into Chinatown every Sunday for lunch and weekly grocery shopping. Your video brings back a lot of great memories of Chinatown. I joined the NYC Fire Department in 1997 and worked in pretty much every borough except Staten Island. My firehouse was on 29th St in midtown. All of the places you visited are places I have been to or worked near and responded to. Thanks for making this trip and video. I have to go back and visit soon.

  13. A fun, cheap New Yorker thing to do is take the Sten Island Ferry. Take the 1,2 or 3 train down the West Side to the ferry terminal. The ferry is free. It is a 25min boat ride through the harbor. It has an excellent view of the Statue of Liberty. When the ferry docks in Staten Island, stay on for the return trip to Manhattan.

  14. I laughed at the comment about the pile of garbage you all passed. Sanitation needs to pickup the trash.

Chinatown is interesting. Lots of hidden eat spots. Also, a great place to buy a knockoff designer bag. It’s the people with the laminated pic books of bags that have the best bags and service ☺️.

I’ve watched you for a couple of years now in different places. I enjoy your content and even followed your advice on Key West and I took Breeze airlines 🙂. Nice to see you both in my neck of the woods. Enjoy NYC!

  15. This video comes at a perfect time for me. We are sailing out of NYC in November, and I am working on what we will do the 2 days before our cruise. We have never been to NYC before, so we do not know exactly what to expect. Thanks for giving us a sneak Peak!❤❤

  16. I walk through the Manhattan's Chinatown a lot when I'm there, but I don't know if I've ever eaten there. Definitely taking notes. I've heard that the Chinese enclave in Queens is even better, but I've spent very little time in Queens so far and haven't been. The food scene there is supposed to be amazing, because its population is so diverse. We usually stay in the Financial District or in Mott Haven in the Bronx, because of hotel prices, but I'll have to keep an eye on the Mimosa. Financial District can be a bit dead on at night & on weekends (and I just saw that our go-to diner closed…Nooooooo!). Mott Haven is rough around the edges, but not bad. Some good food there. Actually, the Italian enclave in the Bronx has some great stuff, too. I think that's in the Belmont neighborhood, but my wife did the navigating for that excursion, so I'm not 100%.

My wife & I live in DC, so it's just a 4 hour train ride to Manhattan, and she's a big Broadway fan, so we go up once or twice a year. No end of new things to discover. And it's amazing how different the neighborhoods can be. I mean, not that amazing. You can cross a street in DC and have a 180 degree vibe change. NYC just cranks that to 11. You can be on a busy, chaotic, loud street, turn a corner and be on a quiet, tree-lined street with fancy brownstones & parks & people out walking their dogs. Last November, we walked from the top of Marble Hill to the bottom of the Battery, which gives a really fascinating view of Manhattan. Midtown is its own thing, for sure. Vibrant and chaotic. For better and worse. We kick around the idea of moving there once in a while, but even if money was no option, I don't think I could live much further south than Harlem. Financially, I think somewhere in the Bronx is more likely. Maybe.

  17. Found you right before my Treasure Island vacation this past April ❤. My daughter lives in Queens and works in Manhattan. Recommend Juniors Brooklyn Deli (famous for their cheesecake) and Sanford's in Astoria, Queens for brunch.
