Seattle

The Perfect Seattle Itinerary for First-Time Visitors

I planned the perfect 4-day Seattle itinerary so you don’t have to

I went into this trip to Seattle for a fun long weekend – but this place quietly worked its way into my top 5 favorite U.S. cities.

From fresh seafood at Pike Place Market to colorful glass art that feels straight out of Alice in Wonderland, iconic skyline views from the Space Needle, and one of the most beautiful hikes I’ve ever done at Mount Rainier National Park, this trip had a little bit of everything.

Day 1
• Pike Place Market
• Pike Place Chowder
• Gum Wall
• Seattle Waterfront

Day 2
• Dahlia Bakery
• Chihuly Garden and Glass
• Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP)
• Space Needle
• Communion, and we linked with @dombriana

Day 3
• Mount Rainier National Park
• Skyline Trail (6 miles) or Myrtle Falls

Day 4
• Seattle Art Museum
• Argosy Harbor Cruise
• Waterfront bike ride

A few tips if you’re planning this trip:
Arrive at Pike Place hungry because you’ll want to snack your way through the market.
Start your Mount Rainier day as early as possible. Entrance lines can get long, especially in summer.
Pack layers. Even if Seattle feels warm, Mount Rainier can be dramatically cooler.
Give yourself extra time at MoPOP… trust me, you’ll stay longer than you expect.
The city is super walkable, you can just rent Lime bikes and scooters through the Uber app!

Seattle surprised me and I can’t wait to go again!

Which stop would you do first?

Save this for your next Seattle trip and send it to your travel buddy.

  1. Seattle is such an underrated city. I’ve been twice and enjoyed myself both times. I absolutely love the Chihuly Glass Garden. Didn’t know I really like glass sculpting or whatever you call it so much. It was a pleasant surprise of enjoyment.
