Ugliest city in the world, everything is overrated.
my two favorite NYers! perfect video to help me and my pals plan a trip! ty!!!
The tour goats of NYC🙌. Luv the debates
10:08 6-7
sarah said there is no were else like time square but what about tokio guys
Definitely agree on Madame Tussauds. You can't get the full NY subway experience with their replica. Can't smell the urine and feces. Can't see the rats. Can't run away from the deranged homeless trying to push you onto the tracks.
Times Square was amazing
A useful, informative, common sense discussion for those visiting NYC. Haven't been to some of the relatively newer observation decks such as Summit One Vanderbilt or The Edge, but of the older trio of Empire State, One World and Top Of The Rock, my vote is for the last of the three. That said, the best choice of all is to visit them all …
Currently in new York from the uk. Your videos have been invaluable ,along with Sarah funky’s. Thanks a lot Jon
Might get hate for this, I hated the oculous mall all the bathrooms were closed at 7 pm… 😡😡😡😡 the Burger King across the street had access has more bathroom availability
Her: "Times Square is not overrated because there is no place on earth that has that"
Also her: "The Statue of Liberty is overrated" lol
Thanks for assisting me in my decisions@
Stopped watching the moment she says TSQ is not overrated and she hasn't even been to Tokyo (that is a disqualifier right there) hahaha dislike.. next!
The Nabisco Factory was also used as the filming location for the first 4 seasons of HBO’s Oz
yarra river in Melbourne 🇦🇺 is bettter
I just got back from NYC and the Rockefeller Christmas Tree was a huge let down. For one, it was so crowded you couldnt even enjoy it. It just looked like any Christmas tree. I got me a picture and left. The tourist made it miserable. We enjoyed Central park. Kids loved it.
Honestly, take a transit ferry. We took one with my friends to Rockaway beach on our last day and it was absolutely awesome to see the financial district, UN building, gov's island etc. etc. from utterly different perspectives for a couple of bucks. The travel time was about an hour one way but so worth it. We hopped off at Rockaway, went to the beach for a walk and grabbed something to eat. then back on the next ferry
My wife loves New York, unfortunately I don’t like it that much and here I am about to fly there for the third time because she wants to see the Macy’s parade. I’m 100% sure that She is in for a rude awakening but she never learn from other people experiences she wants to feel the pain and drag me into this chaos too.
WOW! you guyz are my 2 favorite YouTubers, I'll be there in 4 days and I'm really exited to try some of your recomendations., can't try them all I'll be only 4 days and one thing I want to avoid is been overwhelmed., I'm craving royal grill halal lol it looks delicious amd I'll be staying pretty close.
Statue of Liberty – Very overrated, still should do it once though.
TS is not overcrowded lol but not overrated. It's the icon of NY. Like Sarah said, TS has no comparison. Tall buildings do. Paris has Eiffel, London has Big Ben, etc. And the chaos in TS is what makes it TS.
Saras face when you say Brooklyn Bridge is overrated is PRICELESS!
I take these videos with a grain of salt. Saying something is overrated and not worth visiting are two separate things. For a visitor, every place is worth visiting for the experience. It’s the locals who say a place is overrated and not worth visiting because the landmark is not novel to them. For example, Vegas locals will say the strip sucks and to stay away. Valid but it doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be experienced.
I’m going to be in NYC next weekend and we’re doing both summit one and top of the rock.
I found sara recommendations are highly sponsored
Question for you do you think the ice cream museum in New York City is overrated I'm wondering price wise
Tokyo 🗼 is better
thank you for the video. I have a question: if I book a Liberty statue tour one month earlier, can I change the day in case of bad weather?
It is worth visiting the observation deck of the Empire State Building and going in the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty at least once.
Hello. Can you give me tips / suggestions on how a couple traveling can have nice photos? Afraid to give my phone to strangers and ask them to take our photos. Private photographers might be an option but seem expensive.
Times Square peaked when it was a red light district
I agree. I don’t want to go someplace that I can find in other cities
We skipped the Statue of Liberty the first time we visited but my little one just learned all about it in school so we are excited to show her on the visit.
COYS
Every "celebrity town" becomes overrated once you visit it. That's my experience. It doesn't mean it's not great. It only means it's not as great as it's being presented in the media.
So far I've only been to NYC once in my lifetime back in 2007. For all the attractions you've mentioned in this video, here's what I have to say about them (overrated or not):
1. Now I've already been to the Empire State Building during my first trip so there's no need for me to go there again. I believe the observation deck was worth checking out when I first went there. It was also the first time I got to be on the top of a skyscraper and observe the windy view.
2. I've been to Times Square briefly during my first trip, but that was to see a Lion King musical that my mother really loved. I personally would love to go to Times Square again so I could have more experience of the beautiful bright light signs that surrounds the entire area and also drink a coca cola while checking out the coca cola sign (sounds silly, but it's my vacation).
3. I've seen the Statue of Liberty during my first trip while riding on a taxi boat on the East River, but I've never been to the statue or the island it's located at. I don't know if I would go there since the statue has a bunch of spiral stairs you need to go up to in order to reach the statue's crown. Who knows, maybe I might go.
4. Now I live in the state of New York so the chances for me to see the Madame Tussaud's wax museum would be either in NYC or at the Louis Tussaud's Waxworks in Niagara Falls in Ontario. I would love to go to either of those two since they're the closet to where I'm from and because I would love to see amazing wax sculptures of current/former celebrities.
5. Not only have I seen the Brooklyn Bridge, but I've also been under it too during the ride on the Water Taxi (along with the Manhattan and Williamsburg bridge). Now I would definitely NOT walk on the Brooklyn Bridge, but I would bike ride on the bridge since not only it's less crowded, but also won't take too long to cross it. Also, if I ever get a chance to own a Go Pro and manage to find a bike trail with a good view of the city of Manhattan, then maybe I might record a video of the city as much as I could while riding across the bridge. Maybe I might do the same on the other bridges too, who knows.
6. I've never been to Central Park and I probably might not be able to see all of it due to how huge the park is. But I might see some things that the park has, as long as I don't get easily lost in there.
7. I've been to the Museum of Natural History, but I've never been to the MET Museum. I don't know if I would like to see this museum since the only artifact that interests me in this museum is the painting of Washington crossing the Delaware River. If there are any other paintings that might interest me, then maybe I might go to this museum.
8. I've never been to Rockefeller and I'm probably not thinking of going there during the holidays just to see the Christmas tree. But I would check out most of Rockefeller Center and also take a tour inside and go on top of the observation deck of 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
9. The High Line is new to me, but I might check it out since you can walk on an elevated pathway away from the busy streets. Along with that, I would also like to check out the Hudson Yards which is also new to me.
Exactly. You can't say something like there's nothing like Time Square unless you have travel all the world. Tokyo is much more interesting without the scam.

Times square is awesome
OVERATED ??????????????????????????????????????????????????
Are they wanting pedestrians on the new bike lane?
As someone from London who used to work near the Madam Tussaud on Baker St, I have never understood the appeal. I certainly wouldn't bother going to the NYC one.
