i grew up in the bay and family is mexican, la taqueria is sooo overrated it used to be different but now they play reruns of shows showing off their restaurant on the tv and just crank as much volume as possible over quality. el farolito is way better or even gordos or the yellow spot on mission st i forget its name

I also live in sf and all of these live up to the hype. Also, there are a few really good places, besides these ones that I love. One is el buen comer(Mexican) and a place called barrio( also Mexican)
La Taqueria is my all time fave! I even saw Prince there once (and yes he was an absolutely gorgeous & humble dream come true)!!! 🤠🌠❤🎉

There used to be a La Taqueria in San Jose where I ate lunch at least once a week. The City of San Jose in a fit of what can only be described as an amazing amount of stupidity swapped it our for a Carl's Jr. Damn but I miss La Taqueria. Same goes for House of Prime Rib, best prime rib in the country.
