Going this weekend with mom!
Best recommendations???
When I visited Boston, I took the small boat taxis. A walk to the pier, call for a taxi and wait. The cost was $5 and nice tour of the waterfront. Check your hotel location to make sure that the waterfront taxi has landings nearby.
Dude what a great video! Thanks for the work you put in to include the necessary travel info.
Great presentation – Due to take a train from Manhattan to Boston in Nov when we're over from Ireland to visit my daughter – Is it as Irish as I've heard?
Man, I'm visiting Boston for a business trip in September and this is awesome. I'm so lucky to have landed on your video. thanks!
How about Boston’s oldest restaurant the Union Oyster House.
i’m staying for 4 days so i’ll just do this twice
Do you know where the best/cheapest place to park for the day near a subway stop?
what about Lexington and Concord. They are a few miles out of the city. Are there any tours that go out there? Great video. I would highly recommend going to see the USS Constitution. The tour guides are actually members of the US Navy.
Nice information and talk about Boston.
Is it worth it to rent a car?
Nice and concisely narrated description for short stays in Boston.
This was super helpful, this really gave me some new ideas for my planned trip to Boston. Thanks for the good work.
Heading to Boston tomorrow for a few days as part of an East Coast trip. Had no real plan for what to do and this video was perfect! Thanks a bunch
great video
Thanks for the suggestions. Great stuff!
Great itinerary! I would also recommend View Boston in the Prudential. Watching the sunset up there is really nice! Also, kayaking on the Charles/esplanade is super nice in the summer
It's a shame the free Silver Line was downplayed here because it is way faster and more convenient than other options under almost all circumstances.
It's frequent. It merges into I-90 right at the Williams Tunnel. Once it exits it makes a quick stop at some of Boston's newest hotels (so if staying at one of those it's absolutely the best option) and then it takes a dedicated road & tunnel all the way to South Station (it's called "Silver Line Way" and Google Maps will never suggest using it). I've never seen it get stuck in traffic.
Another reason it may be best- from South Station the Red Line goes directly out to Cambridge without the hassle of another transfer. People visiting a city for the new time have enough to worry about without having to figure out our ancient metro system right after landing*.
*we use confusing terms like terminus station names and "Inbound/Outbound" to indicate train directions. It's pretty cruel to tell people to switch to an inbound green to park, and then from literally the center of the city take "The Outbound" (or "…what was that last thing they said- something about a wife???")
Excellent video! I particularly liked your recommendation to go to the North End twice for cannoli!
So God told me no facebook because I must decrease that he may increase
Because we can't organize a rebellion when wars are ended with a little cash and coffee
No rebellion. That's why God doesn't want me on facebook
What to do when you have no money
Hey, man. I'm going to Boston soon and wanted to check out some videos for suggestions. I really appreciate the effort you put in in making this video. It wasn't just suggestions, but you also put thought into how our itinerary would look like. Very helpful!
If you say Fenway. It means Fenway. Not the neighborhood.
The "Cheers" bar (Beacon Hill), JFK Library & Museum and the Samuel Adams Brewery will DEFINITELY be part of the itinerary of my trip to Boston next summer!
thanks bro you just made my girl think of the freedom trail
Thank you! Very short video, but soooo helpful!
While still vibrant, Harvard square was a bit better before all the chains took over. And for a mini harbor cruise, take the T’s Charlestown Ferry to the USS Constitution
