I grew up on The Oregon Coast north of Cannon Beach and south of Astoria in one of the best beach towsn of Seaside, Oregon, and its easily one of my favorite places in the whole world and is home to some of the most dramatic and beautiful coasts on earth from the giant sand dunes to the offshore rock stacks – it has it all. Since I grew up in Seaside and Cannon Beach (northern), I figured I would make this travel guide for exploring the Oregon Coast is very special to me.
The Oregon Coast is part of the 7 wonders of Oregon, and even though I am biased, I think it’s the best one 😉 I’ve driven every mile of HWY 101 from California to Washington and I wish that I had explored more of every beach, rock stack hike along the Whole coastline, but I will travel Oregon for the rest of my life. There are many places to visit along the Oregon Coast, but so much conflicting information. This travel guide in 4K is an overview of my top 10 Places & Cities to visit along the whole Oregon Coast.

I lived in Cannon Beach for a few years in the early 2000s and love returning for a visit whenever I can. All of these towns are great but CB will always have a special place in my heart. Gorgeous beach and scenery and lots of fun shops most of which don’t sell the usual tired tacky touristy stuff.
well done. Loved the Video
Cannon beach was great 50 years ago. Now, I’ll pass. I sold a dumpy cabin there twenty years ago for a stupid amount of money. Now I just camp or hotel during my visits. Same with sleazside.🙄
We live in Sutherlin more inland, but do enjoy Coast visits occasionally. I used to live at Lincoln City 90's working at Salishan Lodge-Gleneden Beach and this is an all day as an housekeeper job seeing Golf Balls flying job! I enjoyed living up River along the Siuslaw and picking Chantrell Mushrooms that grow abundantly in the forest. I also enjoyed working at the Ester Lee Motel that is right on the Beachfront.
please do a video on the best parks to camp at. also the best fly fishing rivers/shops/ spots.
Love your video, keep up the good work!
Thanks for the vid! Oregon looks absolutely amazing 😮
Looking forward to our trip this fall. Thanks for the video. I like that you added little nuggets like The Horn restaurant. Us tourists can act like locals and say "Jackson sent me"
Tillamook cow town obviously.
Agate beach? Can you find agates there or not? If so that would be fun.
That would be cool to see those whales.
I WISH WISH YOU WOULD NOT WELCOME THE WORLD TO THE OREGON COAST‼️‼️🥹🥹😵💫….SERIOUSLY
amazing video. great shots. fun facts. amazing job!
Im going to the coast Sunday after watching this Depoe Bay.
Question, where did you sleep? Any recommendations for that?
Like your choices, but there are so many more adventures to be had! Also- showing towns from north to south (or vice versa), would be helpful for tourists or road-trippers, so they don’t miss out. Nice work!
Great video!!!Just arrived in Bandon and planning a whole week of fun was just made easier. Thanks!!
How much is to rent an hotel on those places
Well good of you. I was raised there. So, why should I return. I would not. Knock yourself out. I would never return..
Great video! I'm glad I found it. Any chance you've done a 7-day Oregon coast itinerary video that I missed in your video library?
Do you like Oregon coast more than Washington coast
We're going to be taking a driving trip from Seattle down to San Diego, and will be heading down the Oregon coast. This was most helpful. Thanks!
This is awesome
was hoping coos bay, north bend and charleston made this list.
I think you should visit every beach and coastal area in the entire cost of Oregon. However, there are no good motels anywhere north of the California and Oregon border. Period. If you can't afford the higher priced hotels on the coast, don't forget to pack your camping gear. You'll need it. Of course, it goes without saying (but I always say it anyway) Oregon State Parks are top notch…
I’m visiting for 3 days in June, thanks for the video and tips.
Hi Jackson! What company did you go with for the Sand Dune Buggies? I can't seem to get a hold of any.
Oregon is for me Coco.
It's been since 1999 that I went to cape lookout camp ground.
Tillamook does smell really gross, and when I’m going to fredmeyers there it smells Super gross but you kinda gotta get used to it.
Thanks for sharing man. State of Oregon is by far the most beautiful state in USA.
planning a family vacation and this was a great help!
depo bay is the place for sea foods
Portland is really a beautiful land.
The Face Rock Creamery in Bandon is THE place for coastal cheese, and no reeky smell of cow pie.
