  1. I remember standing on the Golden Gate Bridge. It looks like it's still but the bridge sways back and forth. It is massive too. I stood next to a machine that views things up close and looked through it after putting quarters in it and I saw Alcatraz Prison far out into the water. San Francisco was nice to visit but it was only a prelude to our Hawaiian destination to Maui it was all great though. Loved it.

  2. Viewers, please do not be taken in by the right wing propaganda. SF has its rough edges and some aspects have admittedly gotten worse during the pandemic, but it is far from the dystopia conservatives make it out to be. They have an axe to grind and love to highlight the faults of those with different political views to reinforce their own tribal identity. Or shall we look at the well-functioning, crimeless conservative utopias of West Virginia, Mississippi, and Tennessee? 😂

There are about 4,400 restaurants in SF. In 2021 about 550 of them closed. 270 new ones opened. The car burglary rate is indeed very high. Homicide is the national average (average not just of big cities, but of the whole country). Violent crimes like assault and rape are below national average. Like NYC, cost of living is high, especially housing; but so are wages.

There are sketchy, dirty neighborhoods. There are also beautiful neighborhoods with unique architecture, walkable streets, relaxed atmosphere, and vibrant commercial corridors. Often the two are right next to each other.

People are accepting (often providing sanctuary for the kids who have been chased out of their communities elsewhere). They are highly educated and generally laid back for a big city. There are also crazy people and homeless. There are about 35 neighborhoods; I’d say 6-7 of them are rough.

SF is a real city with real problems. In the right time and place it can also be arguably amongst the most beautiful cities in the country. Come and visit, enjoy the culture and delicious food, pop over to Tahoe or Monterey or Wine Country, be aware of the sketchy areas, and consider walking or taking transit and don’t leave valuables in the car. SF is not perfect but it’s not the hellhole some make it out to be!

  3. I actually came here to see how many right wing haters would show up. For those who don't know, San Francisco leans left politically and is therefore the main target of bored right wingers. To each his own.

  4. It looks like the former glory of cities/nations around the world is turning shitty, looking at the comments below and others from other city vlogs. It is sad.

  5. Anyone who has not been to San Francisco and plans on visiting, don't leave anything in your car. San Francisco is the car burglary capital of the country. Also, keep in mind, this once vibrant City that had thriving businesses, cafes and shops has been utterly decimated by woke liberal politicians who continue to do everything wrong. I moved to San Francisco in 1982 and left in 2020. The city is now like a ghost town in many areas with criminals who would have once been in jail or prison roaming the streets victimizing unsuspecting citizens. It really is a shame. Many of its long-standing institutions such as Alioto's and Fisherman's Wharf are either gone or relics of what they once used to be. I loved San Francisco, but the politicians made it a dangerous place to walk around, and the woke Liberals are just so damn angry at the world, it became unbearable.
