I was in NYC for a few days I loved time square the first time after that i recommend just looking forward and keep moving since it gets worse the more you go
people have probably already said it but, it's Bow Bridge with a long O, because it's shaped like an archery bow.
Broadway shows are too expensive… spent over $600 to take my kids to see Chicago, and that was using the TCKTS booth at the last minute to get a deal.
Thanks again Sarah Brian L Smith
Tried booking games with your code but it says invalid so I cancelled it. I’ll try again tomorrow
Some of my faves: The Museum of the City of New YorK, The High Line , MOMA. The Tennament Museum.
Looking good Sarah 😊
Bow Bridge is pronounced like rainBOW or an archery bow.
I went to NY last week and watched some of Sarah's videos before I went. I thought Liberty Island was wonderful and definitely worth visiting fully and taking a free guided tour. Ellis Island is also incredible for people like me who love history. Went to Summit One instead of the Empire State building and the views from there were 100/10. If you get the chance take a tour of the High Line and eat in the Chelsea Market. 1000/10 for delicious, fairly priced lunches.
I really don't think Times Square is worth a moment of anyone's time. It's the least interesting or authentic thing in New York, apart from the thoroughly dull designer clothing stores in the Meat Packing District.
I like your video
I pretty much agree with you on everything here 😃
Although two totally different places, i prefer visiting Rockefeller Center to Times Square. Especially in the fall months and Christmas. 🎄🎅❄️⛸️
Time Square is good to see once and you dont need much time to see it. Just make sure your bowels are empty and you arent hungry when you go! No public restrooms and its all chain restaurants
I agree. Don't waste hours seeing the Statue of Liberty, but you can take the free Staten Island Ferry that goes right by it. The Empire State Building? Why not? The Met? Yes. Skip the MOMA. The Memorial? You have to. Broadway? Shows aren't my thing, but that's me. Grand Central is worth seeing but it's 15 minutes out of the day. Brooklyn Bridge? It's a bit out of the way but if you have the time it's pretty awesome. Central Park is a must. Truly one of the wonders of the world. The onluy downside is that it's impossible to see it all in a day. So — come back! Yeah, go see Times Square but don't spend any money. It's tacky, garrish, loud and unlike anything you've likely seen but after an hour you'll be ready to move on.
Is there any veteran discounts on any entrances. Great video
STAY AWAY FROM TIMES SQUARE!! It is a tourist trap. You might as well be in Mirakesh.
I've been up three of the 5 observation decks and the worst experience was empire state. Completely lacked flow and signage for navigating, and the night time view was terrible compared to top of the rock. Every tour video says the same about feeling in the middle of it at the rock and that's dead on as well as it's not a view of NY without the empire state building in your view! Loved one world for such a different perspective being in lower Manhattan. Going back in Nov and will be doing the edge for the first time
🤲🤲🤲🌹🌹🌹
What broadway show would you recommend seeing with tweens?
First visited NYC in 1971, last time 2012
I love you're video when ❤❤❤❤ when you are going to upload more videos can you do a with slow motion
Do you have any recommendations for jun or July with kids ? What’s the weather like?
How about the Summit? I am going to NY on September. Thanks.
The Times Square rating is accurate, after you've been there once. The 3 immediately goes down to a 2 star, because even living here we all try to avoid it.. But it is sometimes cool to walk through it and get immersed in all of the lights and scams going around.
Grew up in nyc anf I really agree with the ratings. You truly know what you afe talking about. Very helpful. . I trust all your reviews!
Statue of Liberty 5 stars. Climb to the crown, then check out the new museum and the awesome observation deck.
I just visited the crown of the statue and that certainly is worth visiting
Is it just me or does NYC sights seem pretty boring to me?
I really appreciate these types of videos for planning my 1st visit. Like I'm trying to pack in all the iconic spots in a laid-back 4 days (I will be with my 70 year old father on his several-th visit). So I do need to know if something is worth your time or not. So yeah, Lady Liberty isn't a good use of time. Just like I imagine the Bronx Zoo, Coney Island and other spots are as well.
Like the Intrepid? It seems kinda on it's own & how long does it take to do? Keep in mind we've already seen WW2 battleship & submarines before. So I imagine the guts of the ship is gonna be very much the same.
But I look forward to my visit!! I will be there for what should've been John Lennon's 85th birthday & I hope that New Yorkers don't disappoint me and I find a fantastic event/party/memorial in Strawberry Fields.
Also, maybe a nicer dive into the HUGE attractions. Like what parts of the Met are MUST-SEE while you can kinda skip out on these areas? Or the Natural Science. Like is the planetarium event worth it or should you just skip it for other parts?
Central Park is toooooo old which needs renovations. Hudson Riverside and east Riverside green ways are much better
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍😊🤓🤓
I agree with each one of your reviews, especially the Empire State Building. It's such a gorgeous sight to behold from afar but you definitely don't have to go up in it to the observation deck. Top of the Rock is WAY better.
Nyc does not have the best subway
Lol, chain restaurants are all that can afford to be in Times Square these days. I didn't know why it was called Times Square, thanks for that. I will be passing through there on Tuesday as I walk from Penn Station to go see "Glengarry Glen Ross" the play. My favorite spots in the city; The Met & The Cloisters, The Highline, CitiField, Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge, The Bronx Zoo.
Sarah, I enjoyed my trip to NYC on Memorial Day weekend ! I do agree with how you rated some of NYC's top attractions.
