Be careful riding the trains at night there are some shady people there.
My advice is to go with some storage avaliable in your cellphone, so you'll be able to download the bike rental apps
Number 1 mistake: Going to LA 🤣
I remember visiting LA back in 2017. I did quite a bit of research online prior to visiting. My research was more about where to stay though and not necessarily what to do lol! I made it out ok though. I’ve lived in Atlanta and Now Dallas, so I was somewhat used to heavy traffic. I rented a car and the biggest frustration for me was parking. All in all I made out ok, but like he said, the area is huge and there was so much I didn’t get to. I figured I’ll do some of the other stuff the next time around.
I live in LA and my recommendation is don't stay in Downtown, ever for any reason. Stay in Beverly Hills, Hollywood or Santa Monica. And rent a car. Public transit isn't much of a thing here.
Great video, very informative. We will be traveling to LA this year.
There is no place in whole country that has weather and good as southern calif. Plus surf, hiking in mountains, beach volleyball, skateboarding, diversity, pro football, baseball and basketball, plus Hollywood , Hollywood Bowl, L A. Philharmonic, classes of anything you wish to learn, and freedom of religion. Sunset blvd. Clubs, comedy clubs and television studios as well as Universal and Paramount. ❤
Do read the signs before parking in L.A. A brother-in-law who was a cop from another state thought he could get by parking the way he did in his city and got towed.
Lived in L.A. for 50 years. Loved it. However it's an automobile town. Only time I used "public" transportation was a shuttle to Hollywood Bowl. ❤I drove thru every kind of neighborhood, including so called tuff neighborhoods, safely. Los Angeles means the City of Angels, and it truly is ! They are everywhere.
Wait what? 90 mins from one side to the other if there is bad traffic?! Cities in europe are so stuffed you need 90 mins with bad traffic in an average city 👀
I’m moving to la to live from the uk
Can you please do one that involves the Amtrak trains. I’m taking a trip soon on the sunset unlimited soon. Traveling the country
Why are the comments saying bad things about LA? I went there last Thanksgiving weekend, it's not even that bad. Just some homeless people wandering around downtown, but Venice beach is good, much cleaner than Santa Monica (which is not even part of Los Angeles). 8/10, not so perfect, but much better than some US cities that I can't get around without a car or Uber.
I lived and worked at a hotel on Catalina Island. I definitely recommend checking it out if you have never been. Go for the day or stay the night in one of the quaint hotels; either way, it's definitely a nice change from the rest of L.A., and yes, it is still considered part of L.A.
As a Socal native don't swim in LA Beaches like venice, redondo, manhattan, hermosa, Santa Monica etc., until you get to Malibu/pacific palisades then you'll be fine, otherwise LA beaches are disgusting to swim in. You're better off in OC beaches like Newport, Huntington, Laguna, Dana Point, etc.
The biggest mistake a tourist can make in LA, is going to LA.
March mid is ok to go there ?
00:31 didn't expect Los Angeles is as big as all of California 😅
LA is awful brother….lol, you can talk about the "mistakes tourists make", but it does not factor in how horrible this city really is. Any tourist destination is ringed in by nightmare traffic, there is no good public transit around, and also, f*** tourist destinations…moving around this city is a joke. Come on man, be real…this place sux…nothing worth seeing or doing that would make anyone want to come here. Traffic, local drivers, public transit, locals in general…go elsewhere. LA is awful
Any San Diego Videos? Going in April 2026 ✌️
Noticed you did not include Rite Aid in your drug store/sundries mention… Cause now they are all closed. Good prophecy! Chilly weather wear advice need not apply to Michiganders…
Oh, you have away the big mistake right away at the beginning. Going to Venice Beach.
