  1. I lived there for a dozen years (ten more than was needed) and never went up the needle lol. Besides the sculpture garden i wouldn't bring any visitors to any of those places. They're pretty much all hype. Proof of that is any time you hear somebody describe something as "something to do once".
If you have a few days (in summer btw, the only time to visit), and aren't lazy, a better itinerary: take an argosy boat tour to the locks, then bike the waterfront (check out ye olde curiosity shoppe) to the sculpture garden to Discovery Park. Hike down to the water. Bomb bikes back down the huge hill then head up thru the locks to gasworks for a picnic and beer. Do dinner in the international district. Day two, museum, take a ferry to Bainbridge and grab lunch. Head to Ballard to walk around, drink, eat, catch a band. Or head up to Capital Hill for more drinks and a show (grab a free Reader for any bands you might wanna check out). Day three, ride bikes through the arboretum. Fill a bag with beer, ride south along lake Washington to Seward Park stopping at the floating platforms to take dips along the way. Once at Seward, hike through the trails then ride around it once on the way out. If you're there during one of the many summer street festivals, the ones to make a point of seeing most in descending order are West Seattle, beacon Hill, Ballard, Cap hill festivals. These are action packed days you wouldn't "just do once" like the needle. You're welcome.

  2. We had dinner inside the Seattle Space Needle do they still have the restaurant you mentioned a bar? This was about 14 years ago. We were in Seattle to go on a cruise to Alaska. So we spent a full day touring the city. so fun!!!

  3. I live in Tacoma and generally find it easier to get around Seattle by transit than fight with that traffic. Btw, if you ever get a chance, check out Cleveland's West Side Market. It's like Pike Place but not touristy! It's still got old school produce vendors yelling out and trying to sell you half a bushel of something for ten bucks so they can go home. Also it's got meat and cheese vendors and bakeries that are like nothing I've seen anywhere else.

  4. I'm glad you made this video. Too many people saying Seattle is scary and looks like a liberal apocalypse scene. What city doesnt have some homeless people who use drugs? Seattle has a LOT of fun things to see, try and do, as you have shown. And plenty of police here and also DSA (Downtown Seattle Association) who have ambassadors that stand on corners wearing blue and yellow jackets and are there to help people with things like directions, restaurant recommendations, security, etc, etc…

  5. went to vonns around the same time. got rotten basil in my mule, cold fries and cheese and something that was called steak but was more like boiled meat. Wife got the meatballs, they don't come with the pasta they brag about…. total fail
