I took a trip with my family and another to DC when I was about 11…way back in 1987. Coming from Wisconsin we hit up Gettysburg and Richmond VA on the way….I want to to take my 2 kids…10th and 8th grade and me hopefully in the next year…but only Gettysburg amd DC. Any tips on where to stay? I've been out there 2 times since I was 11 and we stayed at the Wold Trap Inn just over the border into VA..Fairfax I believe
My nephew is 1 and a half…any suggestions for what my family should do with him in DC?

7 days is not enough, there was lots of things we didn’t get to see so we definitely will need to come back
