Where did you get those pictures at
I grew up in the area and travel widely. I truly don't know of anywhere else you can do so many great things for free! Though not in DC, I'd add Arlington Cemetery and the Pentagon 9/11 Memorial to the list. Both are a short Metro ride away.
When I lived in Arlington I new a certain spot in a certain wall to jump over…. Great video series, I always tell people to check out the videos if they are going to D.C.
Great tip about accessing the Library of Congress via the Capitol.
Can I survive with 1500 $ in Washington DC. I am a student from a less developed nation . Please help 🥺
great video! thanks
Air and space museum not in dc
I lived in DC in the mid 90s. I love sitting in Einstien's lap, and biking from Alexandria through Rock Creek Park.
Washington monument
Number 10 doesn’t age well 😆
I love to take friends/family to see the changing of the guard at Arlington Cemetery. It is free for you to walk the cemetery. It is about a 20 minute walk up hill to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Also see President Kennedy's grave. Also drive next door to Arlington and see the Marine Corp Memorial which has a great view of DC.
I like to combine the U.S. Capital tour with the Library of Congress tour the same day in the winter. You can check your coat at the Capital for the day. The Capital has a very nice cafeteria. I park at Union Station parking garage and it is about a 15 minute walk to the Capital.
Also the Postal museum is right beside Union Station and is very interesting.
Everything is free except the parking and food.
Thanks, cant wait to get there!
Can you fly a drone in DC,
On a pleasant day, pack some grub and have a picnic on the National Mall. Find a nice vantage point for DCA and plane spot.
You are absolutely right about the Library of Congress—gorgeous and definitely underrated
since i live near washington, i always go to smithsonian museum, and take walks in the mall. also, for anybody checking out dc, go to the black lives matter plaza!
Thank you so much , very helpful and well done .
I know it's technically not in DC, but I would have included Arlington cemetary.
I'm having a date on Sunday, where should I go, I want this to unforgettable.
I am really wanting to take my kids here. I am a single mom who have never been able to take my kids on a personal trip. My cousin lives near by so we plan on staying with her. My kids love history. I am hoping we can visit D.C. at the end of February or the beginning of March. With being a single mom on a super tight budget I am looking for free or very small fees.
My favorite free thing is Ford's Theater/Peterson House
You are amazing, you cover everything! Congrats God bless you.
ive been to DC I wanna impress karen gillian by going with her 🙂
Grace&Gratitude
If I am going to stay here for 7 days, will it be ok for me to purchase matro card with short ride for 38 bucks of I live in Fitch PI NE, will it be possible to travel with this type of card ???
Tomorrow I'm visiting DC can anybody tell me the best price place to park the whole day?
Did the Capitol, LOC, Old P.O. Tower, AA Museum, Lincoln, Washington, WWII, MLK, and The Vietnam Memorials, as well as the Ford Theater (free technically, $3 surcharge for tics thru third party) along with Arlington National and Pentagon (u forgot those, though not technically in DC, still free) in April. Enjoyed all.
