Whether you visit for Comic Con in the Summer or for the great weather all year round here are five things every visitor, tourist, traveler, foodie, person should eat and enjoy when they visit San Diego.
#1. Carne Asada Fries: this San Diego specialty is high on the flavor and the calories, but you will love every bite. 1. I can confirm, that there is a much wider selection of delicious food in San Diego. You should have said “Mexican, seafood, wings, burgers, Asian (pho, lumpia, ramen etc) just helpin you out👍🏼 btw since you acknowledged the fact that carne asada fries and a California burrito are literally the same thing, why would you put them both in the list back to back? That defeats the purpose of the video☠️

  2. 😮 I lived in san diego for over 30 years and my go to food is Carne asada chips with guac and sour cream and pico de gallo at Roberto or any Bertos..because I heard they are related.

  3. Nothing on the lovely gentleman that uploaded this. I can agree the food is okay. I’ve been to all the places he shown and I can honestly say only a few are worth writing home about. San Diego honestly has nothing on Los Angeles when it comes to food and sports. Lol. The taco shop where he got his fries and burritos is trash. Smash burger is garbage. Not sure what donut shop he went to. But petersons has the-best donuts in San Diego county. Gas lamp has a lot of places to eat but once again it’s basically a let down. Los Angeles is a Mecca when it comes to food. Trust me.

  4. Lolitas is super good as well as lucha libre, but since their far I go to my local taco shop still good food for the budget. I get a California burrito and a can soda for 10 dollars at Vaquero taco shop on imperial Ave

  5. When I think off food in San Diego I remember what Anthony bourdain said in an interview about where to eat in the city. He basically just said with all due respect I'd just cross the border to eat in Tijuana at Mission 19.

  6. Interestingly, in Latin American (and im willing to bet also Asian, African, Indigenous, and Arabic) cultures we dont have the equivalent of the term "foodie". Food is our life, our medicine, a central part of family and social gathering- food is how we celebrate, express abundance and tradition. Food is everything. All this to say "foodie" was an awkward term to explain to my fam back in Chile. 😂😬
