There are beautiful places to live in FL but you couldn’t pay me to live in Miami. Old FL is beautiful, unfortunately with so many people moving here, it is under attack also. The constant development is killing everything.
💯 I'm a South Floridian (Miami) and it is not REAL! Its basically Disney Land for adults. I recently HAD to move from Florida and its the BEST thing I ever did. I never thought in a million years that I would leave the only place I've ever known. I wouldn't even visit if you paid me.

This isn't new. You think locals in Los Vegas go frequent the Vegas Strip? Or people that live in San Francisco going to Fisherman's Warf all the time? It's like this in cities throughout the world. Miami was built off the drug trade during the Cocaine days.
Miami has became hands down the most overrated big city to live in & it's not even close, it's ridiculous. Real Miami is 5 cars to 1 house because they're just trying to cover bills. Mayor Cava has done a terrible job letting housing cost triple with a poor job market with low pay for the everyday workers to actually just live in Miami not even to enjoy. Hard to take a day off just because bills are ridiculous. 400-500 residents are leaving Miami because it's overwhelming. Miami is definitely vacay & dip that's it & even that is getting overrated. That's the real Miami. Y'all Welcome.
I never cared to be in those major cities for a long period of time..Miami, last vegas, etc… Quick little check in for a few days….But that's about it… About the 3rd or 4th day and i'm already ready to go lol… A lot of them places don't be as cracked up as it seems

I agree; it’s a vacation destination for the beach and warm weather. You have a couple hot spots; the beach nightlife area and downtown. Other than that, the city looks outdated, comparable to a South American city from the 1950’s. Or a 1950’s movie. I saw no streets with houses. If I did see one, which was rare; the house had one floor, painted some odd color such as turquoise, orange, etc etc. The homes didn’t have a garage. People parked their cars on the front lawn or sidewalks. Most people spoke Spanish and half spoke no English. Even people in their occupation such as Uber and bus drivers. The majority of the city looks like garbage. I say save your time and money. Go to real travel destinations, such as Italy, France, Greece. Miami is a hyped up scam!

He’s soo true, it’s a PIA to pack up the family for a beach day. Traffic, parking and afternoon showers ruins everything that’s a beach day, it’s very stressful.
FACTS 🎉 . . . .people watch too much BET . ….but in real life, the majority of folks there don't live that life, it is truly a facade. The prices are above high, people do lots of drugs and tons of people living "pretend rich lifestyles" are everywhere. It's a "fun" place to visit, but I wouldn't live there permanently if my life depended on it.

TRUE. I was born there. I moved to Pompano Beach in 2000. I lived on South Beach in the 90s, but my affordable apartment got knocked down to build a fancy expensive hotel.
I used to work in downtown Miami in one of the high rise office buildings and was on the 17th floor. Our office overlooked Biscayne Bay and the view was incredible. Parked at Bayside right next to the Miami Heat arena and walked to the office from there. I had just moved to South FL from Ohio less than a year before getting the position, and did the commute from a suberb in Ft Lauderdale to downtown Miami each day. I remember the first winter and it was so cool that it never got cold. The first year of winter never coming was an incredible experience. This was back in the mid 2000's. Those were the days.
