There's more to this great state than Manhattan!

  2. The Hudson RIver Valley isn't a couple of hours out of the city. You can be at the Tappan Zee within a few minutes of the city. Beacon, Bear Mountain, Rhinebeck are all a short distance from Manhattan.

  3. You forgot Watkins Glen and Binghamton. Binghamton is the carasell capital of the world with 6 carrasells . Watkins glen has beautiful glen with water falls and a motor speedway track

  4. Ithaca? Seriously? And Albany? Buffalo? I'm from New York, and no one goes to Albany or Buffalo. This seems to be researched by someone who has never been there.
The "first 13 settlements"? It 's the first 13 "colonies". No sense doing the slightest bit of prep, right?
"NYC"? No one calls it "NYC" except you.
The Catskills "have everything"? Sure, small impoverished towns included.
Also Lake Placid is in the Adirondacks, so how is that two things to see? It's like saying your should see New York City and also see the Empire State Building.

  5. I grew up in State of New York and from a very tiny town in the finger lakes. Me and my husband are happy to move back to our home state of New York and we are moving back to Yates county. I miss going swimming in Keuka lake in Penn Yan NY.

  6. I can’t believe that your video introduced 10 most attractive places to visit in New York states less than 10 minutes.😂 I think most people feel like a get information of just tip of iceberg.🤣🤣🤣

  7. I’m a longtime resident of NYC and love to travel been to towns in NJ PA CT MA FL VI and ME just to name a few but never in my own state of NY my problem with so many beautiful town in NYS don’t know which one to visit

  8. As a New Yorker I have been to all of the regions and locations in the video. There is some overlap amongst some of them, but all have a bit more to offer than mentioned in the video.

One site absent, Cooperstown, Home the National Baseball Hall of Fame is worth the trip if you love the national pastime. Canastota NY is also home to the International Boxing Hall of Fame if you enjoy the sweet science.

  9. It's sad that NYS has alot to offer and is a beautiful state, but is expensive. I live in the Hudson Valley where I grew up on a small farm. If NYS keeps getting more expensive, we might have no choice but to move to a less expensive state, though I don't want to. I also like cold weather than hot humid climate. I wish the politicians would hear our compaints and make NYS more affordable to live.

  10. Why isn't Letchworth State Park getting any love? It's by far the best place I've ever been to in my life so far. Even after spending a week in a cabin in Letchworth and hiking 16 to 20 miles a day 7 days in a row, I swear, I never got bored of it. The visuals and scenery are just beyond stunning.

  11. I'd add:
    1. Baseball Hall of Fame. In Cooperstown, Finger Lakes.
    2. Old Fort Ontario in Oswego.
    3. The fruit belt along the Great Lakes plain. A hundred of varieties of apples, and peaches, and pears, and cherries, and more.

Note: everyone will have their favorite places. Share them.

  12. Imagine my surprise when the village of Cattaraugus as mentioned. It's a weird little place, no idea why they built the downtown on a very steep hillside. I lived about 6 miles away but did much of my business there. At the time, there was a small grocery store, a pharmacy, a hardware store, a bank, and a couple restaurants. I've moved away. The grocery store has left (the Dollar General moving in next to it didn't help), the pharmacy has left (no idea why). The HW store (Pritchard's) is not too big but they're a good HW store–I recommend them. The two restaurants are still there but one only operates a few months per year. The bank is just a one-branch bank with old-bank type hours–it closes at noon on Wednesdays but it gets the job done. There is the American Museum of Cutlery in the downtown but I don't think you'll be too impressed. The two major manufacturers in town (Setterstix and Composite Panel Solutions) have moved away in the past few years. This village is in rough shape. Like so many small towns in the U.S., it's hanging on somehow dying.
