HAROLD CHICKEN IS SO SLOOPY WET AND JUICEY IS CRAZY LMAO 😂😂
The relish is called picallili… It's not standard relish.
Who took this man on 75th lmao I’m surprised I wasn’t in this video lol now I want an Italian beef and an Italian ice lol
Try the mother in law chili and tamale on hot dog
I get fat just watching. Looks so good.
to bad every store needs to serve food through a bullet proof glass revolving door
Why am I on this video!? lol
Bro was holding that bag captive in the beginning 😂
Lived a mile from Johnnie's for a year. I regret every meal I didn't eat there.
Mark look like he done smoked some weed. He got the munchies 😂😂
I like mozzarella cheese and giardenara peppers on my beef 😋
Love Derek please make more vids with him❤❤
Probably talk too much and should get to the food. Or let the guest get to it while talking
from Augusta Ga love the show
I’m from the burbs but Harold’s isn’t as good as church’s. I hate to say it but harlolds is mid at best.
i LOVE YOUR VIDEOS
I saw red hots on the sign. Had me on that. Nothing like splitting open a red hot and burning it up in the frying pan real quick with a nice bun and a pickle
He took him to the right spots 💯
❤
That's my home town! Nothing but GREAT food everywhere! Lem's is my all-time favorite BBQ joint! I'm over 65 yrs old, and grew up on it. My grandmother lived 2 blocks up the street and every other Saturday we got BBQ from Lem's. I even memorized the phone number when I was a child, and have actually called it by mistake to place an order from someplace else, since I've been living inanother state for over 50 years.🤣 The other Saturdays we usually went to Yung's Chinese Food, which was just down the street on the corner of South Park (now King Dr) and 75th. It's gone now. Makes me want to grab my big suitcase that I always took just for food, and fly there just to buy all my favorites to bring back home… a bucket of Tips, and a few trays of Rips from Lem's. Of course, if I were going to fly all the way there just to get food to bring back, I'd also stop in Chinatown to pick up some Chinese food, Hyde Park to get a Stuffed Spinich deep-dish Pizza (or two) from Giordano's. Maybe even run out to DiCola's to get some fried Frog Legs, Scallops and Shrimp, too. Last stops would be downtown to get Garrett's popcorn, Macy's to get a few bottles of Frando Liquor and a dozen boxes of Frango Chocolate candies, and then to Jewel's to get O-Ke-Doke popcorn, and Jay's Potato chips. I guess that would hold us for a while. 🙂
$6.41 for that beef is crazy
you probably dont eat like this everyday hey just wondering how you stay so lean
Next time go to Devon and try Indian food
Hot dog getting cold while he‘s talking…
South side of Chicago. You 'might' get randomly shot, but the food has to be great!!
That polish dog looks so much better than the OG Chicago dog
$.05 to $15 sounds about right.
27:30 well well well
I like the food on display, but the expression he makes after a bite is just ridiculous.
Ok I just got home from there Mark… I’ll say this you’ll never pull them on charges ! Our experience was different!! I’ll give that spot a 5 out of 10! I think you should start critiquing them if if it’s not good!
My brother in law and his father made this from scratch for us they made the bread their own sausage they Italian beef was a two day process. It was just wonderful
No Portillos?
Thats like the only place in the area my friends from there ever want to go for Chicago food. 😆
One mistake he made, he quotes someone saying the Italian beef the "ultimate grease bomb", not true as all. The beef is made usually from whole beef insides (top rounds) or sometime bottom rounds, they are very lean. They're smothered with beef soup base powder, garlic, and some oregano, roasted rare, chilled over night, then sliced thin. The sliced beef goes into hotel pans with water and lots of cut up green peppers and then finished in the oven. The juice is the water/stock left over in the pans after cooking.
Harolds overrated
stop eatin it like dat
I love living here our food is so fricking good
Cannot believe you didn’t get Johnnie’s fries Best in the world and a monumental mistake
Some people could not afford a nickel back in the day. The Great depression.
Just spent the last few days trying a beef from all the iconic chicago spots. I must say that johnnies is the best. Als was a greasy mess that disappointed me.
Been to a few great places. but! Jim's is the place! Thank you for sharing. Feb 2026 from Oklahoma City USA
The way Mark's face lights up after taking a bite of the food gets me everytime!! Haha A true food lover!
I thought Chicago dogs had like poppy seeds on the bread buns
I know everything don’t taste that good every episode now cmon !!
Johnnie’s is awesome. We stopped there every year on the way to sea shed aquarium so good.
I just watched this episode right now. Chicago is only about an hour and a half away from me. We frequent her often too bad you didn’t come this way more north to Hortonville Wisconsin. To the black otter supper club they have the best prime rib and they actually have a contest for it. They’ve made it on many magazines and news articles for having the number one prime rib It would’ve been cool to see you. You will have to post if you ever come to Hortonville to the black otter to try their food.
Iconic Hot Dogs in Chicago.
