Hey friends — if you want all my L.A. recs, here’s the free guide I made for you: https://bit.ly/LosAngeles-Guide-Camden
Great video thanks for the info
This video was wonderful!!! I’m from LA County, and I’d add two suggestions to your list. First, skip the trendy “scene-y” spots and check out a true local diner for a classic breakfast experience. That’s where you’ll really get a feel for the community. Second, take some time to research and support local small businesses. We really love and value our small businesses here. From nail salons and panaderías to family-owned food spots and dive bars. They could always use the support, and you’ll be met with some of the most laid-back, welcoming people. It’s the best way to feel like a local.
basically, what he wants to say is don't go. Also, Disneyland is not overrated is the happiest place on earth and if you have Kids is much better than Universal. You go to Universal if you are little out of your kids Zone and of course hello, that is the sacrifice you have to do if you want to stay in Santa Monica for the beach view and traffic and hours spent going to Anaheim.
Your video sucks
thx for the advices Buddy
Thank you for this fantastic video!
I am 64 years old lady just visited LA solo and back to Canada , it’s huge city , too much you can see and visit but you couldn’t see them all, because your energy was limited . All you can do is pick some places
Hi, what is the Airbnb you mentioned?
Great video man
Is the AirBnB no longer available? The link goes to an error page.
Thanks for the great video! This is my first time. I'll be going on December 10th to the 17th. I feel that I have a better handle on what to see after watching your video.
This is very westside-centric, which is probably the most boring part of Los Angeles. There are incredible spots further inland that you shouldn't ignore. Incredible architecture and museums in Downtown Los Angeles, and don't forget Grand Central Market there. Also, Highland Park is just as funky and delightful a neighborhood as Venice… and you're much less likely to be socked in by the marine layer. Museum Row on Wilshire in the Miracle Mile is world-class. The westside is… fine… but the real good stuff is inland.
Haha Venice & the area around it is a pit. I’ve lived here 22 years & I’m not sure why you’d be playing it up like that.
👍
May I ask which camera you use if you dont mind?
In the meanwhile, I could go to Santa Monica and visit Old Pasadena town next via LA Metro☺
Thanks. I learned a lot from the video. I would not presume to disagree with your main recommendations. But as someone with almost no prior experience in LA, I had a day and a night to spend there and decided to stay in Hollywood at the Holiday Inn. It was affordable and conveninet. I walked the Walk of Fame, which I got a kick out of. While doing that, I got a good view of the Hollywood sign. I walked and walked down Hollywood and Sunset Boulevards into West Hollywood and had the best time, all by myself.
Thanks. Good luck
💯
great series. not verbose hour long essays lol
4:25 this one is very true. I've lived in la all my life(23 years) and no one measures distance in distance here. I could tell you the time it takes to get to a bunch of places, based on the time of day but have like no intuition for distance. I have no idea how long a mile is or how many miles away my job is.
Should I go to Little Tokyo?
He didn't mention the homeless problem in Venice… It's dangerous now😢
West side, best side!!!!!
Thankyou
Some fun places to take kids healthy foods too
I pack fruits and waters
Getty is the best visit in the LA area, much better than a studio tour
🎥Spoiler Alert: Doing a studio tour messed with my suspension of disbelief while watching shows for a long time and still does occasionally! It was interesting, though. 🤓 (I did Warner Bros.) Pro Tip for a Hollywood (vs. beach) focused itinerary: Burbank Airport is closer than LAX to many attractions like the studios, Griffith Observatory, open-air concerts at the Hollywood Bowl, Hollywood Walk of Fame (a bit grimy 😬), Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum (cheesy but worth it imo! 😄 It's weird and fun to see accurate life-size replicas of famous stars and take goofy selfies with them). For Art and Garden Lovers: There's so much art on view in LA including at LACMA and the Hammer Museum at UCLA, but my personal favorites were the Norton Simon Museum (Rousseau and Degas works in person! 🤩), the art and lovely grounds of the Getty Center and the Getty Villa (a bit of a schlep), and taking a garden stroll and having afternoon tea at Huntington Gardens near Pasadena. 🌿🫖🌴 This makes me want to visit again! ❤
A lot of good and fair recommendations but if you ever see the topic of LA pop up in a travel group, on FB for example, you KNOW that the topic of the homeless problem ALWAYS pops up , how are you not going to mention or add a warning about that at all?! There’s definitely some places people should be truthfully warned about to at least help them manage their expectations for LA
