Bens Chili Bowl and Georgetown cupcakes are crazy overrated and are objectively bad. I would avoid them. Replacments I would go to that satisfy the same itch are Roaming Rooster and Baked & Wired.
The reason why is Ben Chilli Bowl Chilli is incredibly bland, while a bunch of Georgetown cupcakes flavors taste worse than grocery store bought somehow.
Local here: Baked & Wired > Georgetown Cupcakes
so many great places ignored here. Ben's is inconic. However, this is not a list of what I would consider the go to places to eat in DC.
So many haters about Ben's Chili Bowl! It's a tourist spot for a reason — thanks for going, I'm excited to try it out!
Can you let me know what microphone you guys use? Your audio, in general, all throughout, sounds amazing!

No one eats at Ben's Chili Bowl unless they are 1) drunk 2) a tourist 3) both.
The Ethiopian food looks so good and nourishing
Whoever gave y’all this list ain’t from DC or don’t like y’all 😂
Yall never left NW.
Cute video. You definitely picked some almost Taurus traps between Ben's which is also historic of course and Georgetown cupcake, but call your mother is the real thing and l'ardente is as well.
Ben's Chili Bowl is absolutely grotesque.
🙂 Glad you guys stayed safe.
Baked and Wired in Georgetown is a great coffee and cupcake option….better than Gtown Cupcake in my opinion.

A cupcake place made your top foods list? That was the best you could come up with? Cupcakes?
Not that the places you went to are bad, but they are definitely not the best in DC.
Call Your Mother Deli is absolute garbage, trash, nonsense
Next time check out bethesda bagels instead of call your mother. Otherwise great reviews.
Ben’s is hot garbage and you lost all credibility right off the rip with the pantomime food vlogger BS.
Bens chili bowl is flat out nasty. Drunk people at 3 AM just don't know any better.
AYYYYEEEEEE (start the podcast Rob)
Heading to DC On Friday, this was really helpful! I like how you describe your tasting experience. A very scenic word choice. We are hoping to capture the cherry blossoms so Ben's looks ideal for local and loving it lunch stop!
I love how you describe all the flavors and the experience of eating the wonderful food from DC.
pronounced as: saffron aranchini
You won't catch me dead in DC eating. Only way to stay safe is to not go there
