For me, the top 5 places I would like to visit in Chicago are Millennium Park, the Field Museum, St. Mary of the Angels, the Shedd Aquarium, and Graceland Cemetery. If you know why, you know why.
Yes the brazil is more beautiful!
I like all of Sodikoff's restaurants I've tried. Maude's and Bavette's are my favorites (I lean toward Maude's). Au Cheval used to be a favorite, but I haven't been back since some of my friends whose opinion I trust have said it has declined a bit. I've liked Next every time I've gone, however the ticketing system can be a pain.
Love from India i love Chicago
Thanks for the great video. May I ask where you would suggest to get on the Brown Line and where to take off? Also are there any good places to go along the Line?
Lou Malnatis is goals
I liked this video because I’ve lived in Chicago since I was born! However, I believe that this video is more for “tourists”, you could honestly make a whole new video for people that lived in Chicago their whole life and note secret spots or very unknown spots in Chicago!
I'm a tourist and I only call it the Sears Tower.
Would you make a video about housing?
I live in Austin I’m going to Wisconsin to meet my great grandma she is turning 100 and we are going to pass by Chicago when driving
Navy Pier? Or is that too cliche?
Chicago is really very beautiful 😘
You're a good ambassador for us Australians!
God, here i go again, this time it's about the Brown Line (I should mention I live in Florida now). I used to take it everyday to work. I'd board at Francisco and get off at Quincy. I didn't need a car. I was born and raised in Chicago. and still have a tough time thinking of it as a tourist destination. A couple of years ago a co-worker and his wife spent an extended weekend in Chicago, something like four days three nights. I looked at him and asked "But, why???" He told me he had always wanted to visit it and to see it for himself. He had heard a lot about it, and because of his trip he couldn't say enough good things about it. Specifically he talked about what a beautiful city it is, how there is so much to do, and that there always seemed to be something going on. Still, I continued to look at him and ask "But, why …..????? Just goes to show you, you never appreciate what's on your side of the fence.
My favorite Chicago food is a Chicago style hot dog. Deep dish pizza is good but you have to be careful were you go because some places are great and some are disgusting.
It’s so cool that you have all this knowledge of our city! I thought I was a Chicago history buff, it’s taken me my entire life of 27 years to learn all this stuff, your doin good. Also, I was thinking, you should check out Geoffrey Baer’s many series on the history of Chicago on WTTW, it’s a must if you live here I think!
I’m not sure if you’ve done this yet, but you should possibly do a video on the street light bulb color of the Chicagoland area…just a thought
When he said get elevated I thought he ment get high. Doesn't mean you shouldn't try it if you're visiting.
Food: Rain Forest Cafe
So glad you included the Brown Line in this. I was thinking just the other day how magnificent the view is around the river!
You said the Crown Fountain. Do you mean the Buckingham Fountain?
Yes. I love the ARTIC personally. We gotta go together with the ladies. That would be fun. Its so easy to kill a day there an you'd only see half of it.
Lost in the Pond sent me here! Subscribing ! I guess I have a few places I need to see the next time I visit Chicago, (The Bean wasn't even there the last time I was there, so it must have been before 2004 or so)
Some would say the best view of the city is from the Chicago River. The best venue for that view is the Architectural Boat Tour. It's fantastic. Alternatively, if you only have a few minutes to spare, take a quick ride on the Chicago River water taxi from Madison Avenue to Michigan Avenue.
so much to see, so little time. as a native, i enjoy your videos. a feature of millenium park that i have enjoyed most, is the pritzker pavillion. great place to catch a show.
Great list! I'd also add the river walk to the list and maybe north ave beach in the summer.
mate, dunno why you haven't been picked up for a presenter job yet. sure it's coming soon. x
We took our daughter for a sleep over at the planetarium…such a great time 😀
