Go with the red woods mountain. Ignore all that homeless problems and tourism and drive the coast. It's a hard drive if you don't do turns well but it will be way more rewarding and less traffic around homeless camps and Aaaaand you can skip all the trash from Tacoma onwards.

You forgot Sausalito & Tibeuron, and Bodega Bay, where Hitchcock's The Birds was filmed. Plus, if you call it San Fran, we locals think you're a tourist. It's either the full name, SF, or most commonly, The City.

The GG Bridge is an attraction that I don't get. I grew up in the Bay Area, & to me it's just a bridge that's painted orange.
