My Disappointing White House Tour 2023

My disappointing tour of The White House (but that’s OK). What is on your Washington DC bucket list? The White House is a common one but I am doing an honest perspective. There is so much to see in DC that I am not sure I would recommend soemone to wait 1 hour and try to find bag storage to visit this place.

  1. She asks why there are no guides or anything. It's a GOD DAMN HOUSE! People are currently living inside of it, and they don't want a guide with a bunch of tourists invading their privacy. We all know the president wouldn't.

  2. I took the tour during the Clinton administration. Muck more welcoming. 1 level of security, could bring your bag, and there was an informative tour guide and no months in advance waiting, just show up. Different time or different administration? But of course, we had a democracy back then.

  3. America is a continent not a country.
The American continent was named America in Brazil way before the USA ever existed. People born in the U.S.A are called Usonians or United Statians, not Americans. Canadians and Chileans are Americans by birth.

  4. Be happy that it was in one piece and not in the condition it currently is in. 1/4 of it torn down illegally, with an ugly UFC dome next to it that blinds pilots, and the smell of BO and poopy adult diapers circulates through the HVAC. Bigly.

  5. Are you serious? No shlt it takes a bit of effort to get tickets, heavy security checks, and leave bags with security. What did you think it would be like getting into the most recgonized building in the world where the President lives?

  6. Stupid expectations from this girl. I dont think she really understand and realized what the white house it represents. She just complained without any appreciation. She is the girl that is only good enough to tour the artificial things not something historical.

  7. The White House is a historic iconic building where the presidents live. The tour is exactly what it's supposed to be. It's not buckingham palace, neither should it be. Their are guild books, and learning the history of the White House isn't hard. The WH historical society has everything you could ever hope to learn about the historic grand mansion.

  8. I went to the White House as a child and my parents bought me a guidebook which I read years later as an adult and then went on another tour, this time very informed. I had a great time. I did not get to see the theater that you saw though, but the cross hall corridor was open, where it seems that for you it was roped off for carpeting or something. Anyway, visitors should keep in mind that the White House is a personal family residence and an office building, so don't expect it to be all that open. This video doesn't mention it, but also don't expect to see the Oval Office, as that is in the West Wing which is totally off limits. I got to see the East Wing though, which no longer exists.

  9. What did she expect? A walk through the Oval Office?

My mother volunteered for Laura Bush's First Lady's Correspondence Office. They gave her and the other volunteers a much more exclusive tour and even that didn't include the Oval office.

Heck, back when Reagan was president my mother owned a company that did training for Continuity of Government on a contract with the office of the president, FEMA and department of state and they ran exercises in the PEOC (the bunker under the white house) and even then she never got to go inside the Oval office.
