  1. I live in nyc too and while Katz’s is expensive and very touristy, it’s absolutely worth every penny. I’ve tried dozens of other pastrami in the city and while there are several good contenders (2nd Ave deli), I’d still put Katz’s at the top. Also, the $28 is pretty much what most other shops charge too. Good pastrami takes a long time to make. Like weeks long

  2. Katz Deli ,Oh Yeah ! The best food , everything delicious ,their pastrami sandwich ,their corned beef sandwich ,&: their fries ,I could go on and on ,their really the best deli food ,delicious .💞💐🌷💕🌸🌺💝❤️❤️💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖😼😼🌹🌹😊

  3. I'm from cleveland ohio, where we used to have five or six major league deli. Now, we have zero cause the last deli.On the east side has been getting terrible reviews since they switched ownership. And now i'm living in florida, where we used to have the rascal house wolfie's in miami. You had more delis, you could shake a stick at now between miami and jacksonville. There's not five good delis explain, please.I mean, we smoke cigarettes. We do drugs, we gamble. These things are all dangerous and now we're saying a little pastrami fat is going to get us in trouble

  4. I first ate at Katz's as a kid with my dad … its where I had my first pastrami sandwich…I was 6 years old. I'm 61.5 now and have gone back a few times in the last 10 years… it's still the best deli in Manhattan. Delfonte's in Brooklyn is my other favorite deli…its located in south Brooklyn and cash only but worth it… also half the price of Katz's and the heroes are just as good.

  5. It’s so funny to me that so many people are so proud of living in the over crowded, over priced dumpster you guys call a city. Have you heard about… the world? Forrests? Open spaces? Silence? You know, being human?

  6. Who doesn't love and really thick sandwich full of pastrami? And yeah you got to have it with the fries. It's not worth it without him. Doesn't matter the cost. Hell you could eat that for days❤❤❤❤❤❤

  7. I'm in my mid 50's, and I had Katz's corned beef, and pastrami sandwiches when I was in my teens, and I still remember how "yummy" it was. NO other sandwiches have ever come remotely close to how good they were!

For me, Margarita's Pizza, on Jamaica Ave, is the best pizza!

  8. I went to Katz's in the 80s, the pastrami was around $16- $19, it's The Best even today albeit with the prices through the roof, it's worth it 🎉.. and stacked with mustard and pickles Enjoy.
