great vid!
I walk the Boston Commons and Boston Public Garden at least once a year because it’s so memorable and always makes me feel hopeful. My favorite time is late spring and early summer to enjoy the gorgeous flowers. Each year they change them a bit. Plus I marvel at the history that the Boston Commons and the Boston Public Garden represent… once it was grazing land… Whenever I have out of town guests…. I try to get them to do the freedom trail and what used to be the audio tour from the top of the hub. I feel like the new sky tour isn’t that awesome because it lacks the audio component. My favorite part about Isabella Gardener Museum are the tapestries from 1400s… when people didn’t know how to draw/paint 3D… so everything was 2D. It’s exciting because it shows the ingenuity in humanity… we had to invent/discover 3D drawing. I find that inspiring. I also find it inspiring that people made these tapestries in 1400s that still survive… I often wonder what they would feel if they could see them now and realize that we appreciate their genius even now. I love looking at the Boston Public Library from outside but since I read kindle books… I never go in. The one thing that surprised me was the Bay Village.. I am 100% sure that I have walked through it but didn’t know it was called as such. Very cool to find something new. But I feel like always find something new about Boston and Its surroundings all the time!
I enjoy your videos, great history perspective. Just need to reduce the use of the word “literally”.
Im from Boston, but have lived in San Diego 20 years. I was there last week. It is the most walkable town. I walked 19 miles ,all over the city in just one day. 12 miles the next day, 6 miles on day three. I'm 66 years old. I encourage people to do this, walk alleys, nook and cranies, and just get yourself lost. You will be so memorized at how Boston has integrated modern skyscrapers into a colonial town, and the beauty of the architecture, old and new, that you are not paying attention to how many miles you are walking. There is always a T ( train) nearby to get you back to a hotel. There is something on every corner to see. It is SAFE, and CLEAN.
Interesting, but please either up the volume on what you're saying, or turn down the volume of the music, or both.
I like your video with historic details and no food reviews, about to go tmr ,thank you😃
Awesome video. Your interpretation of the pronunciation of Landsdowne and Boylston street names makes me giggle.
Nicely done. I’ll be there in 2 weeks. Splitting up the city with the vineyard and cape.
great job. I've lived in and around Boston for 57 years, and while I knew most of it, this showed me a few things I hadn't realized. Thanks!
This is such a cool video. Going to Boston for the first time this fall. Would love to wander Bay Village. Thanks for all the fun insight.
I’m from here and this presentation is awesome. Here’s a little idea for you… take important Boston events and show exactly where they happened. Example…MGH has had many famous people as patients including the Shah of Iran. Shriner Burns hospital, where miracles happened everyday, showing the helipad on the roofs for medical transport. Then, the Charles Street Prison, where I remember seeing the prisoners outside in the prison yard from the top floors of the Mass General hospital. That prison is where there was a huge prisoners rights case in 1973, because a guy was murdered by a toilet seat. Then, go to the Supreme Judicial Court, which is impossible to find, because of government center, and you’ll find a hall of bronze, spectacular, sculptures of Massachusetts statesmen. It is worth seeing that building for sure. Excellent or here. Love this.
Love this!
Secrets? These are well known locations in Boston. Maybe the most well known locations for tourists.
I lived in Boston for 15 years and I still feel like I’m from there. This puts it all in perspective and makes me very homesick for my yearly visit! Well done!
A really great upload. Put together so well. Subbed
Well done!!
