  1. The market has amazing art galleries below that we went to. I found a print from a famous Seattle artist at one of the troll and brought it home as my souvenir. We loved Seattle

  2. We spent a few days in Seattle pre Alaska cruise. lot's of cools stuff and food. There are; however, a lot of crazy people. I think 3rd Avenue is a place to be cautious, the busses run there and the homeless people abound if you are staying on the opposite side from place like Pike Place, don't go it alone. More than once we saw people just standing in the street just screaming. Generally, it seamed if you ignore them they ignore you. Loved the Space Needle and Glass Museum. If you are really into Rock, you'll love the Pop Culture museum, if you don't, not so much. I dragged five people there, and they did not care for it. That food tour looked awesome. We did find great food in several places.

  3. Before the liberal destruction of Seattle, everywhere you walked0 would have been about 15 across and the walking traffic would have been oozing rather than walking.
Glad to see you didn't get stabbed or car jacked.

  4. Growing up 30 miles south , in late 60s to impress your date , we'd go to the rotating restaurant in the Space Needle. In 1 hour while eating at the restaurant it would rotate 360% .
Was up there in 62 and a lot through the 70s also. They closed the restaurant in 2017 and made the rotating observation deck and Lounge.

  5. Next time y'all are in Seattle, check out The 5 Point Cafe, it's not even a 10 minute walk from the Space Needle. Great dive bar, open 24/7 that's been there forever, I have a feeling Jason would love it. Amazing food and awesome unique vibes.

  6. My favorite thing to do is put together a sack lunch from pike place market, sandwiches ,fruit, tasty treats and then bring it over to Bainbridge island via the ferry. There’s a beautiful little park with picnic tables and these amazing fountains. After lunch you can just explore or go to the naval museum or tour the Turner Joy an old naval destroyer.

  7. Woo Hoo! I am a new Seattle Content Creator… I started because I am also a tour guide at Pike Place. I found your video because I am constantly researching other people’s stuff to make mine better… I’m stopping at the halfway point to comment on your tour! It looks like you got some awesome samples, and they taught you that there is no “s” in pike (cue my swelling heart). I wanted to clarify the Seattle Dog for you, I felt really bad when your tour guide said she didn’t know where it came from. It was a fluke, and there are many interpretations of the story… A guy named Hadley Long had a vegetarian bagel stand in pioneer square. Blocks from our stadium at the time, the King Dome. Passers by ALWAYS asked for hot dogs on the way to games. Finally he gives in. He has the local bakery (on Capitol Hill) that makes his bagels make him some Bialys buns (like a bagel without a hole) sliced them across the top, smear cream cheese and drop in a bratwurst. The seattle dog exploded… and now, some 40 years later there are a million versions of the thing. The one standard common is the cream cheese. Ok, gonna watch the rest… you guys are fun! Brb

  8. We did a "Park Place Market" Food Tour. HIGHLY recommend.
I'm NOT a big fish person, unless it beer battered deep fried, but that smoked salmon was SO good. It was part of our tour so we got ALL the free samples we wanted and the rest of crowd really didn't get "as much as you wanted. Naturally I would pass them around, I mean they did say "pass them around to others" in our area so . . . . Ok
Yes TONS of "layers" at the Market. The food tour was all part of the grounds that you didn't even realize were still part of the Market.
We went in Sept, PERFECT weather. Those hills were CRAZY, you wouldn't think so but DANG our legs were TIRED!!!.
Main Hub for UPS is at Pikes Place. IF you want to order anything from the market, cut off is like 3PM for that day, otherwise it's sent out the next day. Loved our tour guide, we did the morning tour. Sept 2023, he was a teacher and the teachers were on strike at the time so he supplemented as a guide and MAN his kids must LOVE him. He was fantastic and SO FUN. He was a History teacher with all the knowledge he knew off the top of his head. I've got his name somewhere.
Totally different stops than we did NICE.

  9. My daughter moved to Seattle in 2017. I have visited numerous times. It is one of my favorite places in the world. We have done 2 Alaska cruises out of there. You did a fantastic job showing some of the cool places to visit. There are so many more! I can’t wait until my next visit. Enjoy your cruise. I look forward to your videos about the trip! 😊
