So what are the places mentioned in this video?
The Langham
The Langham, Chicago opened its doors in September 2013. However, the building it occupies has a rich history that dates back to 1971 when it was originally constructed as the IBM Plaza. Designed by architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, the IBM Building is renowned for its modernist architecture and is considered one of Chicago’s architectural gems.

The Drake Hotel
The Drake Hotel was built in 1920 and opened its doors to guests on New Year’s Eve in 1920. It was designed by the architectural firm Marshall and Fox, known for their work on several other prominent Chicago landmarks. The hotel’s design combines elements of French Renaissance and Beaux-Arts
architecture, giving it a distinctive and grand appearance.

London House
Once the iconic London Guarantee & Accident headquarters, our 1923 building was renowned as one of the “Big Four” skyscrapers around the former Michigan Avenue Bridge. Today, our rooms span an adjoining 22-story glass structure, walking distance from Millennium Park and Magnificent Mile shopping, with Chicago’s only three-level rooftop bar.

Trump hotel
The Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago was developed by the Trump Organization, led by then-businessman and real estate developer Donald J. Trump. The tower was originally planned to be even taller, but due to concerns about its impact on the nearby historic Wrigley Building and the Chicago River, the design was modified to its current height.

London House rooftop
The London House Rooftop is a popular rooftop bar and restaurant located in the LondonHouse Chicago hotel that was originally built in 1923 as the London Guarantee & Accident Building, a historic landmark in the city. In 2016, after undergoing a significant renovation, the building was transformed into the luxury LondonHouse Chicago hotel, which includes the stunning rooftop bar and restaurant.

Anish Kapoor.
When driving to Chicago from Wisconsin, it is exciting to go in on the Tri-State Tollway and see the tall buildings as you approach the Loop. It's like driving through a massive tunnel surrounded by lanes of cars. It is fun to continue south on the elevated Calumet Expressway and see other freeways branch off it headed toward other parts of the country. Chicago is the Interstate hub of the country with at least eight Interstate highways converging there, plus other US also converging on the city. At least as the Civil War Chicago had become the railroad center of the US and Amtrak has routes branches from Chicago in all directions from the city. O'Hare Airport has flghts from three large terminal in all directons, including international arrivals and departures. Visit the Loop and see the consulates of a number of countries.
Dont go to downtown Chicago if you cant afford it.
I'm hungry now.
I have to go one day to Chicago, im from Spain but it got my attetntion more than NY or LA, llooks like a pretty beauty city
another Chicago video where they visit the exact same tourist traps – can't anyone put a little effort into these?
What made you think we needed another video about someone eating a deep-dish pizza? weren't the first 180,429 already posted here adequate? did you think you added something new to the discussion?
I guess if you're really looking to surround yourself with a parade of tourist hicks, then yeah, head to the Nutella Cafe, your people are there waiting for you.
shame on whomever made this video
Just a couple hundred dollars…okay.
It’s only about eating … nothing else … oh eating is such a thing in the us. What about things to do and culture ?
We always stay at the Westin River North, get a room at the southeast side of the building. It’ll give you fabulous views of Dearborn Avenue, the Chicago River as it meets up with Lake Michigan, and the downtown skyline. House of Blues across the street, countless quality restaurants and bars in close walking distance. A couple of blocks to the best “dive bar” in the area if you want to hang with the younger locals, The Shamrock Club 210 W. Kinzie, just west of Kinzie and Wells. Or you could walk south from the hotel over the adjacent bridge and find yourself directly in downtown Chicago on Dearborn Avenue. The Westin is one block west of the authors recommended hotel the Langham, and about half the price. But still very very nice.
This was so so helpful!!
He recommended Sweet Green xD
72 hrs in Chicago and you didn't go to Buddy Guys Legends?? shame shame……
Don't waste your time watching this video. Half the stoxk photos used aren't even of Chicago. I.E- the palm tree lined street when discussing the Gold Coast shops.
Don’t let the name fool you? What else would you expect from a Trump hotel? I stopped watching, there was NO need for anything political on this video.
Please dont give your hard earned money to a pedo operation. So many greater places to stay in the city. RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES.
I will difinitely go back there as a tourist😂!
3:45 Galleria Vittorio Emanuele in Milan?
Nice survey of some of Chicago's major attractions. But Wait ! LA's Beverly Hills Hotel and Milano's Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II have moved to North Michigan Avenue? p.s. "Cloud Gate" [a.k.a. "The Been"] creator Anish Kapoor is not "Ashton ~ ." Thanks just the same …
BE$T Chicago travel video!
HODL on.
"World's largest Starbucks in the world." – From the department of redundancy department.
Will pass on anything with the name Trump
BOOOOOYYYYYY, you have no idea how much you just helped me plan my trip… Thank you 💯
That burger looked sketch AF
There are way better hotels on Michigan Avenue. Ones I would recommend staying in over the ones on the Chicago river.
Thin, crispy pizza is the way to go.
I hope see our crime.
The best chicago video! Love the 3d map for sure. On another note, I need to know the brand and model of your sunglasses please. 🙏🏼
5 Star video breakdown of Chicago. Ty for making it.
Cite ta go
You did a wonderful job showcasing my city❤
Literally the best video I have seen for planning a visit to Chicago. Between this and the comments from locals (thanks y'all!) there is enough to form a great itinerary. THANKS!!
What do u think about the boutique hotels
I live in Chicago and this guy got me excited to visit Downtown 😂😂
Good information, I will check it this summer.
I would never ever stay at any trump hotel. but the video was informative and fire 🔥

Why did you put images of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele in Milan, claiming they were in the Gold Coast shopping center? 🤌🤔
Yo glasses to big for ur head bro
The Drake is pretty good, but Freehand in River North is where to be for location and price.
Why wiuld the name of the Trump Hotel fool me??? Was that a leftist dig at the best president ever?
The burger from MJ's restaurant looked raw
Great video
This video is aimed towards people with money, that excludes most teachers traveling on a budget…
Great video and as a Chicago native, you hit some great highlights of what to see. I’ll add more and or support what’s in the video
Must does include river walk, river boat architecture tour, pizza, portillos, Millenium park and Maggie Daley park, Second City Comedy Club, one of the observation decks, fine dining in west loop, at least one of the museums, navy pier.
Neighborhoods:
West loop: The best restaurants in the city so a must if you like great restaurants considering lots of downtown restaurants (are just north and south of the river and near the lake) are “touristy” restaurants. Other than the restaurants and some nightlife, nothing else to do in the west loop for a tourist so just stay for the food or drinks and back to downtown
Lincoln Park & Old Town (neighborhoods north of downtown): the zoo is free and good if you want a zoo visit on the trip. The views from the park south of the zoo are great. Old Town has SECOND CITY comedy club with Saturday Night Live sketch comedy there. It’s a MUST if you’re in Chicago for at least 4 days. Zanies stand up is nearby and also a fun evening.
River North / Streeterville (downtown area just north of the…river). Best night life if you’re young and want bars and clubs. Some really good restaurants though west loop has the best. Hancock building has a great observation deck. Navy Pier is great for a tourist as it has amazing views and some fun activities.
The Loop (are just south of the river): most of the daytime tourist activities are found here. Millenium Park and Maggie Daley Park. Historic buildings. Sears Tower aka Willis Tower has a great observation deck. Joffrey Ballet is in the southern part of the loop. Most of the popular museums are in the loop or just south and east in the “museum campus”.
Chicago native here. GREAT video highlighting the best places to go. I will say that if you plan to both Lincoln park (where the zoo is located and the unique pizza place) and to the West Loop, you will need at least 4 days / 96hrs in Chicago as downtown (north and south of the river walk and around millennium park) require 2-3 days of its own. If you go any of the museums in downtown near the lake, that’s 3 days minimum for downtown.
I would never stay in a Trump hotel, no matter how nice they say it is.
Boring place and food
