  1. Loved your video! So well done very informative haven’t been in NYC in sometime your video was done so beautifully inviting I’m planning a trip soon.

  2. hey!! thanks for the travel tip on the subway!! That's such a good deal capping at $34!! Can I tap with a debit card too? I'm coming from UK and will be using my Monzo for all spending 🙂

  3. You never mention the UWS. Every year I come to NYC, I'll stay in Midtown around E. 54th or UWS between 64th and 72nd near Central Park. Everything I need and want is walking distant. I only need to take the subway if I want to go further south into Midtown.

  4. All Asians care about in America is PROXIMITY TO WTness and securing their seat at the WT Supremacy table! I watched 10 seconds and knew what he was about because only a WT worshipping adjacent Asian would not see the value in Culturally Rich areas in NY u less they were Asian. NY is the the epitome of the Melting Pot with Asians historically being willing participants as the buffer to serve the Blk community. Asians are the original DEA hires in America being allowed to own grocery stores, cleaners, restaurants…all while miniroties were shut out and destroyed whenever they were successful. Asians only copy and paste (KPOP), and feed off the very communities you say are bad are merchants (Beauty Supply Shops and hair care products in said minority communities while contributing nothing back but Vitriol and disdain (like this video) to said minority and cultural rich communities. So keep COPYING minority people’s music, food (Korean Fried chicken 😂), fashion and even Hispanic low rider Culture and have the AUDACITY to throw your hat in the ring to criticize minority areas in NY!

  5. YOU MISSED ONE IMPORTANT RULE (AND YOU VIOLATED IT!)-
If you want to blend in as a native, and you’re not a drug dealer/addict, NEVER wear a Yankees cap. They’re for clueless tourists and the dregs of society.
WEAR A METS CAP! All respectable NYC residents are METS FANS!

  6. Times Square is crowded, unattractive, expensive, not a place to stay in NYC. I am a life-long New Yorker and love the city, but don't go to Times Square except to see the sights or go to a show, and then get away from there as soon as you can.

  7. Agree about UWS being the best, but I'm older. I prefer wider streets and less stimulation. Plus you're right next to Central Park, my favorite place to relax. Preferences are very personal here because locations have distinct personalities.

  8. Disagree with you for first time visitors to NYC. First reason, transportation, bus and subway un comparable to anywhere in the city. Second, Walking distance to many areas and sites. Third, plethora of hotels.

  9. I like to stay near Penn station due to taking Amtrak to NYC. Then you don't have to lug bags into the subway trains. Just worth mentioning if traveling there by Amtrak. Hotels will hold your bags on your checkout day and you can pick them up before your return train.

  10. Thank you for sharing this video! I live in NZ, but am in love with NYC. This video contains a lot of useful information if I ever get the chance to visit.

  11. I LIVED IN MANHATTAN FROM 1966 TO 2016 — 50 YEARS! (below are some added suggestions)
Kudos to you — great job and your soft voice is so easy to listen to.
    1) If you'd like to experience what it would be like to stay on a residential block Manhattanites actually live on, here are two excellent, modestly priced no-frills hotels with rooftops with views:
    a) POD 51, 203 East 51st Street, between Third and Second Avenues some rooms are $150 a night — I've stayed in this hotel — and from 1966 to 1969 I lived on this very block (from age 20 to 23).
    b) POD 39, 145 East 39st Street, between Lexington and Third Avenues
    c) THE FORD FOUNDATION, 320 East 43rd Street, 11 am to 6 pm to take a quick look at their interior several story Atrium Garden. (I worked in the food facility there in the early 1980's as part of a training program — this building is exquisite and there's nothing quite like it in the city.)
    d) East 42nd Street, as far east as you can go, up the steep stairs into Tudor City for a great photo-op with The United Nations as a backdrop across First Avenue.
    e) BIG APPLE GREETER, bigapplegreeter.net — FREE visitor service sponsored by the New York Office of Tourism.
(I worked as a volunteer Big Apple Greeter from 2014 to 2016 as my "swan song" to the city I adored for 50 years before I moved to a western city.)
You need to register around 5 weeks ahead as there are thousands of requests each month and only around 330 volunteer greeters.
Go on their site and fill out your interests and designate "Greeter's Choice" so that a Greeter who is reviewing the requests can determine which traveler they might be able to help with their unique requests. You do not tip the volunteer Greeter but make a donation to the agency designated on their website.
THIS SERVICE IS NOT TO SEE THE USUAL SITES LIKE THE EMPIRE STATE BUILDING FOR WHICH YOU WOULD USE A REGULAR TOUR SERVICE.
It's to be shown the inside scoop on your unique interests such as fabric shops if you like to do crafts or any other very specific interests.
I hope you found these suggestions helpful — living in Manhattan absolutely exceeded my expectations!

  12. Excellent taste in neighbourhoods and hotels – thank you very much for providing these. I would've struggled to pick these otherwise! The Marlton in the Village looks so quaint, whilst the Soho Grand looks hip! 🙂

  13. Bravo! I think this is the most informative video about visiting and staying in Manhattan that I’ve ever seen. I’ve been to NYC twice but missed going to the Whitney Museum, which is is very high in my bucket list of places to visit.

  14. I liked the video very much. And considering it's visual quality, I thought that you might be a professional, as you turned out to be. Also, no screaming, unlike some other NY channels.

  15. I live in NYC and this was well done. Extremely informative. Not trying to be nit picky however in Tribeca you have shopping at 1 World Trade Center aka the Oculus. As well as, the performing arts center PAC NYC. Walking underneath the World Trade Center mall you can enter Brookfield Place and take the escalators up. Inside you’ll find shopping & more eating on the main level and upstairs.

  16. Who the **** would want to go to NYC. I visited many years ago and I have never visited such a filthy place in all my life.
Yes it has history but who would take the chance to one of the most violent capitals in the world, alongside London etc.
When socialists run a city it results in violence and a lawlessness.
