This isn’t the Seattle you usually see in travel guides.
In this video, we explore the hidden side of Seattle, Washington, parts that most tourists never see. We dive into the history of Seattle’s grunge music scene, how it shaped the city’s identity, and whether that raw, gritty spirit is still alive today.
Along the way, we’ll visit iconic Seattle attractions like the Space Needle, Pike Place Market, and the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPop), but with a twist. This is about discovering the soul of Seattle, beyond the postcards and highlight reels.
If you’ve ever wondered what makes Seattle unique, or if the grunge roots still echo through the city, this is the story for you.

A few things to address here. We forgot to upload in 4k, sorry if you're watching on TV. Also, it's "Easy Street Records". But anyway, what do you think about Seattle?
I’d do it for a hundy 🤣, but I’m from here
Chahuli!! 😍👍
Is that the old J&M building built by Prescott Bush during the years that he and Musks dad were buying up land after the " great fire "?
The Sound Garden Structure is till there, it happens to sit on Federal property. I used to work there and was able to drive by it every day on the way home. It can be seen from the lake. You just can't walk around in it anymore.
Sound Gardens are still there, just not open to the public….you can still hear them at Magnusson Park.
Seattle is awful. I lived here for a few years for work, never again. Can't wait to leave.
Nah you went to the most touristy parts pretty much
Thank you for only enjoy my city
I think y'all convinced me not to just visit but move!!! I've always been curious about Seattle and didn't know much besides the touristy things people talk about. Thank you!
The best fish and chips in Seattle are at the Pacific Inn in Freemont.
Nice meals y'all enjoy
The City of Seattle is currently a shithole. It's not like it use to be…
The Space Needle footage gave me ANXIETY! I don’t know how you did it!!!
BTW, for locals, The Space Needle offers a $99 off season pass from November to May, unlimited visits! I'm tempted, but getting to it is a little off my beaten path, with getting to the Monorail at Westlake the easiest for old feet!
Well done! I lived downtown and drove for Shuttle Express in the 90s… you hit lots of my favorites to show off, but Kerry Park/Highland Drive is still my favorite. Seattle is a city of neighborhoods, for me, the north side (of the Ship Canal is my stomping grounds – Ballard, Fremont. Wallingford, Green Lake, Greenwood,The U District and down into Montlake.
Do they still have the Underground Tour? It was cool.
What about the fentanyl and prostitutes? You can’t have Seattle without those 2 things, it wouldn’t be Seattle anymore. Take away pike place , the needle, Starbucks and you’d still have a recognizable city. Lose the fentanyl and prostitutes and it becomes a whole new city. XD
There's so much homeless here now and lawlessness it's closing a lot of small businesses
Agreed – Spud Fish and Chips is the best
