They don't connect the free monorails cause they want you to walk thru the casino's and spend money.
You think the hotels wood poot there heads together mack it easer for patrons to get to all gamling hotels what a sham
👍
Vegas local for 36 years. Pro tip : If you plan to get a 24/7 bus pass. Walk 1 bus stop off the strip (So, for example, you walk up or down Tropicana or Flamingo for 1 block) . Buy the pass there. It was a $5 pass before I left and on the strip it was $7 or going to be $9 ? This video says $8. The strip bus is S L O W …
The TRAM's were supposed to be, every casino property built a section to connect it all.
I knew locals who took the tram because you avoid the traffic, the bus and all the walking. Vegas should either have indoor 'walking' in mind, and or rental of bikes, scooters.
Americans cry about everything
My experience with the deuce bus was cool. It was never late and if it was too soon bus stopped without entering and exiting, it stopped to be on time and not too early. Just dont put your credit card into bach pocket. It was stolen but fortunetly the bad guy forgot to use it before I cancelled it.
I was in Vegas in July 2025, first week
You missed of how you get to the airport, is that included in your walk?
awesome video for 1st timers, thanks!
I'll take bus during the day, but at night it's unbearable. I lose my mojo and start knocking out. Then Las Vegas security starts kicking peole out fir sleeping.
I’m taking the monorail thank you very much😊 on my VIP pop slots. I can get free passes.
U forgot Mandalay Bay which is theclast place i stayed at when i last went to LV 😅😅
How long has the monorail been in Vegas for the public To be able to be using? I didn't know it was there either
Best bang for my buck is just use a taxi lmao
The Deuce bus drops you at the front of the Strip casinos. All the rail thingys drop you off way in the back for the long walk to the casino.
How can a bus stop not be functioning 😂? You might want to explain that phenomenon.
Do the bus. Monorail is long long walks. Bus will drop you off in front of everything you want to do and see. Park at sahara, easy and free. But remember. Its very long walks period.
3-day bus pass gets you anywhere on or off the strip if you can read a map.
Took the bus once years ago, when i was a starving college kid, NEVER EVER AGAIN.
Said South twice
Great video, but in my experience I love taking the bus and never had issues. I'll do it again in two weeks and see if it's changed since my last time in Vegas
Really helpful – thank you!
Last time I took a guys trip we all spent $20 on the deuce bus and it gave everyone freedom. Our buddy that used a power chair was able to do his own thing as well… and you get to talk to locals and see what’s really happening. Def worth the $20 bucks for three days. 1 uber ride is +-$20
Just back from 3 days vacation to Las Vegas. Somehow, I found the bus to be better option. I stayed in a hotel near Strat area for one day. And then 2 days in New York New York. The buses were frequent & not overcrowded. Sometimes they wait for 3 or 4 minutes in a bus stop if they are few minutes early.
The issue with the Monorail is that I had to walk nearly 10 to 15 minutes into the MGM Grand to reach the station. And walk again 10 mts from Monorail station to the Strip. Instead, I can walk on the strip to reach another hotel/attraction on the Strip.
To get to the Sphere was so difficult in Monorail. We have to get down at Harrahs & walk out of Harrahs, walk on the strip for quarter mile & then on Sands Ave for 3 quarter of a mile. With bus, we can get down at Wynn (very close to Sands Ave) & walk only 3 quarter of a mile (12 – 15 mts) from the bus stop to Sphere.
Though the monorail passes very close to the Sphere, I am not sure why they have no rail station near Sphere. May be they could construct one in future. But, right now, they should improve bus service from Strip to Sphere.
One advise that I could give is to walk on the road than inside hotel if you are not good with directions. At least on the road we can spot where we need to go. I was advised by a representative at Venetian to go inside the hotel Venetian to reach Sphere. I was walking inside the hotel for 15 minutes only to reach another hotel but not Sphere. (Since I am a non-smoker, I have problems walking inside any casino with smoke smell). I got back without visiting Sphere on that day. Next day I walked on the Sands Ave. Walking on the road is better. I was bit lucky that weather was pleasant at Las Vegas during my visit.
A couple of years ago, I took the bus downtown, and at one of the stops, as we were pulling up I saw a very muscular, shirtless man, covered in tats, chasing another man away from the bus stop. When we stopped, he got on and started walking down the aisle, challenging every man he stopped at to a fight. The bus driver never said anything (I guess I can't blame him, the guy didn't look like he couldn't fight), finally another man in the back got up and said he would fight him outside, and got out of the back door, when the other guy got off, he ran back on, then the driver closed the doors and pulled away. When I got to the place I was supposed to transfer to another bus, I just called an uber for the rest of the way. First and last time taking the bus in Vegas.
I love trams and monorails so much that when I visit Vegas, I will sometimes go out of my way (or more accurately, make them purposefully in my path), just so I can ride them!
Love the monorail Last year I stayed at the Sahara, part of the reason was that northern most station is at the Sahara. I could leave the hotel and be heading south in less than 10 min.
Extending the monorail to the airport and to the future BrightLine West high speed rail station will solve a lot of problems. No need to Uber/Lift any more. Combining the monorail and the free trams to make it a full loop would be perfect
Thank you for sharing clear and direct information. You are a rare breed these days.
EXCELLENT. All this information was very helpful.
I love the monorail and I think the bus is best if you want to go downtown, though I'd just call Uber.
Yeah, you definitely want to stay away from the….duece! (Especially when busy!) The non strip buses zip along really well. At least in my experiences. Thanks for the vid! 😎.
Do you know where the Hilton vacation club desert retreat is and how to I get to a monorail?
They just need to start boring a tunnel under the strip the full length for a subway.
6 dollars is robbery
America designs public transit so people don’t use it.
I’ve used all of these. The first time was nearly all walking; I learned to not wear shoes that weren’t well broken-in. This was 1991 snd there weren’t any trams or monorail yet. There were just the regular busses and not The Deuce. I wouldn’t have known to take them if they had existed. The trams are nice if limited. The Excalibur to Luxor to Mandalay Bay one was kind of odd when I’d used it. One direction, it was non-stop between Excalibur and Mandalay Bay but the opposite direction made stops at all three. It was just as easy to take the interior walkways between them, honestly.
The Monorail is nice but it only services certain resorts and only on the east side of the Strip. Still, it’s convenient if you can remember which casinos are across from each other to take it, go through the casino, take a pedestrian bridge (or cross the street if there isn’t one) to get to places on the other side.
What would be ideal would be to close the Strip to regular traffic and build a tram in the median that cycles from north to south and back again, making several stops along the way. Much more pedestrian-friendly
As a longtime Las Vegas resident, I find the Deuce to be the best option by far. The spacing is just fine. It's simply that nobody can predict when a large group will fill up a bus, making it go zipping past multiple stops and appear to be timed too close to the bus in front, and when it will have lots of room, and be stopping at every stop as one would expect. Stuff happens. The waits aren't long at all unless you're in off-hours. The cleanliness is also fine.
