MUST-TRY FOOD GUIDE FOR CHICAGO (2-DAY ITINERARY)
I just completed a weekend trip in Chicago and after speaking to many locals – this is the ultimate list I’d suggest which hits all of the top spots across all the categories (except hot dogs, sorry, but next time!)
Pequod’s Pizza – most Chicagoans say this is the best spot for pizza (Over Lou Malnati’s & Giordano’s). Their caramelized crust is the TRUTH!
Mr. Beef – the inspiration for the restaurant featured in The Bear. Their Italian Beef was fantastic. The line looks long, but it goes quick.
Oriole – which has 2 Michelin stars! The 3-hour culinary journey offered an exploration of Japanese & French flavors that blew my mind with the attention to detail. Worth it!
Au Cheval – once named the “Best Burger in America”. Make sure to add their thick-cut peppered bacon (which I LOVED).
Kasama – one of the most popular spots in the city for pastries. Get the Truffle Croissant!
Three Dots and a Dash – (specifically the Bamboo Room speakeasy). Expertly crafted tiki drinks in a fun environment.
Did I miss your favorite? Let me know what you would suggest!
