  1. I would love to see the spots you’d find in my hometown of Boston Massachusetts/ Salem Massachusetts ( born & raised ) I also lived in Las Vegas Nevada for 10 years after Leaving my hometown of Salem Massachusetts & I currently reside now in Colonial Beach Virginia so I find DC interesting I travel their for Doctor appointments so next time I’m looking these places up !! 😊

  2. This video is slightly old, but I'm watching it to decide if I should visit this upcoming January with my girlfriend. She has some sensory problems so your description of the cherry blossom spots was perfect. Thank you so much, loved the video!

  3. I’m from Maryland and have been to DC several times. But I enjoyed your tour. You’re a great guide and have such a pleasant voice and such a great personality to do this. Thanks!

  4. I lived in Adam's Morgan from 2008-2012. It's a few blocks from DuPont Circle. I've never even heard of DuPont Underground! Looks really cool – as long as they have some good security. Unless you know where you're going, DC after dark can get really dicey. High crime areas exist a few blocks from seemingly very nice neighborhoods. It's best to know exactly where you're going before you head out.
Stay safe. DC has so many great neighborhoods and things to do.

  5. Hi Hunter. Lived in DC suburbs for 8 years and still haven't seen everything. Interesting video, which included some site I was unfamiliar with, but have been to all the others. About the monuments at night: there are others you didn't mention but I hope you saw, including Jefferson Memorial, MLK, FDR, and several more war memorials. It's a 2-3 mile trip to see them all, but so beautiful at night! I have plenty of other suggestions if you are interested.

  6. Sunrise at the Tidal Basin is when all the engagement, wedding, and family photo shoots happen! You may need to go a few days to get the best light. It really delivers, though. Hains Pint is great, and you get a very nice view of Washington Channel and Generals :Row at Fort McNair.

  7. The greatest hidden gen in DC is St Elizabeths (no apostrophe). I worked at Coast Guard HQ for four years. The campus is nothing short of asrtonishing, and there are NO YT videos. There are scheduled public tours once a month during the summer. The Coast Guard historian can probably arrange a private tour. Photos are allowed so it's possible certain video is also available. In front of the main hospital building is the number one best view of DC, seen by barely anyone. It's called The Point, and it was chosen as a military lookout point. You can see the entire "Green Bowl" of DC Metro. It was the first time I understood why this location was so perfect for the national capital.

  8. Hey you were at Woodley Park Station but didn't mention the Zoo. I'm from NC and I've always found Washingtonians to be friendly. I'd say for touristy type things that don't draw huge crowds, try the Jefferson Memorial. It's my favorite for a quiet but gorgeous view especially at night( I don't think you're supposed to be there at night..lol). Other suggestions: Franciscan Monastery Gardens, Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, Museum of the Bible(even if you aren't religious), Shenandoah National Park, Rock Creek Park with tons of stuff including a planetarium, The Frederick Douglass House, and many of the various Embassies offer tours, events and participate in Passport DC

  9. Good suggestions – lived in Washington 20 years and glad that you found cherry blossoms out in East Potomac Park wo the crowds you find at the Tidal Basin. Also Hillwood Estate has the largest collection of Faberge eggs outside of Russia – Marjorie was a huge collector of Russian art, as you prob noticed the "dacha" she had built on the property. Another fun activity is biking the C&O canal – you can actually bike to Cumberland Maryland on it and from there pick up the GAP rail bike trail and go all the way to Pittsburgh! lots of free campsite and places to stay and eat along the way too.

  10. Having been to the O Musem, it needs it's own dedicated Video. And with all that you did, you have not even scratched the surface of what there is to see in DC. Ghost tours, Movie tours, and hundreds of Musems.

  11. DC native here. Some good picks for sure! Good job, Hunter. Sidenote-there are plenty of kind people in DC. We just don't like to interact on metro. Its early, crowded, akward etc. 😊

  12. Do the water taxis. I’ve lived in the area for 30 years, and I still get a kick out of the beautiful sites from the water taxis on the Potomac. If you can pick a time where there aren’t loud people a.k.a. children, it’s also very peaceful.

  13. Nice collection, but there are some other places you should also check out that few tourists know about; you might consider the Larz Anderson House near DuPont Circle, a beautiful mansion from the Gilded Age era, and the truly weird but fascinating George Washington Masonic Memorial in Alexandria, which also offers stunning views over Old Town. Take a tour – it’s worth it.

  14. such a fun tour of DC area. And for 👍 sure Great Falls and its trails r so worth a visit. When there it’s hard to believe ur so close to DC—seems a world away.

  15. I went to the O Muesum it was really cool! You have to find secret doors all through out. You can get lost because it’s pretty big. I am really disturbed by the naked Barbie dolls. That was very weird.

  16. Woah what a fun video! I’m going with my 13 year old son in August. We are def going to go to the cathedral on a Wednesday and contribute to the Lego cathedral!
