We finally visited Los Angeles for the first time in 2026… a city we’ve seen our whole lives through films, social media, and the idea of the “American Dream”.
From the beaches of Venice Beach and Santa Monica, to exploring different parts of the city, we wanted to see what LA is really like today.
Is Los Angeles still the city of dreams… or is the reality very different?
In this video, we share our honest first impressions of LA, what surprised us, how expensive it is, and what life here actually feels like right now.
If you’ve ever wondered what Los Angeles is like in 2026, or if it lives up to the hype, this is for you.

Los Angeles is an area not a city.
Looks like LA is…nothing to shout about
I was there about 10 years ago. Showing the reality of LA and Hollywood is good reporting, as far as I am concerned; so well done. What is not readily realised is that most of the blockbusters and franchises are actually made near where I was born and grew up – the Shepperton, Ealing & Teddington areas of the Thames Valley. And, as for Beverly Hills, it was nothing on the Surrey Hills.
That’s the cali experience complaining about prices 😂 definitely a daily conversation here!
It was a really good and fair review from my opinion as a local. The coast cities get even nicer as you get into Manhattan Beach, Hermosa and Redondo. Also Marina Del Rey and Playa Vista are really nice areas. Hollywood unfortunately is a dump, but there are some good theaters and restaurants if you plan it right.
LA❤❤❤
Been to Grove loved it
Los Angeles
Very nice city ❤
There is a ton to do in LA. You hit up more of the tourist spots which have always been over hyped. Some are still nice to go to especially coming from out of state or from a different country. If you ever decide to comeback there are numerous better places to go that are never talked about in the mainstream.
It’s so fun watching you guys try new things & seeing your reactions!
Unfortunately you guys just went to all the typical places and didn't delve into the city at all. Venice Boardwalk, Santa Monica Pier, Beverly Hills, the Walk of Fame and the Grove? These are the most touristy and least interesting parts of the city. Why did you hire a car? Big mistake. And you didn't visit downtown, you just skirted around it. You were 2 blocks from Grand Central Market, one of the best places in the city for food, and you left DTLA to go to In N Out! It's such a shame that you wasted your time and money., but it's like you didn't do any research. This is not a proper review of LA, because you didn't see LA.
I just watched this. I couldn't believe how many homeless people in Hollywood also and really run-down, Venice beach and muscle beach, people sleeping on benches, it's so sad. We also stayed in Santa Monica the Pier is so old, but you have to go just to experience it. Miami was fun
SOFT SERVE AT FAST FOOD IS
$1 OR SO
LA is the heart of the USA or? Thanks for the video ❤
Great video, when you were at the beach, I saw people swimming.
When divers in the US could be armed whilst driving everyone is courteous to each other!!!!! 😂😂
The initial reaction to in-n-out to then hyping it after is the in-n-out experience😂 it grows on you. First time I had it I thought it was good, now I crave it
In 'n Out isn't the best burger you can get, but it is the best fast food burger. They get a lot of hate for their fries, but I like them.
Same feeling . I visit LA in augus26 and didnt felt thé américain dream. Everything so expensive. Homeless in fantanyl mood at everycorner.
Good production quality and these kids seem nice but this is like a hundred or a thousand other videos of tourists in Los Angeles. Tick off the typical tourist stops and don't dive any deeper. Los Angeles has a ton of great (and not so great) things but you have to get off the beaten track and wander around. Btw Hollywood has been going downhill since the 1950s and you shouldn't be surprised In-N-Out is crowded at luchtime. The ethnic food is amazing but you have to go to the neighborhoods to get it. Thai, Korean, Japanese.Mexican (not Trejo's tacos) etc etc Don't forget to talk to the locals….
I'm coming down! We should be friends🥰
La is only expensive because you are coming here from a lower cost area
the water is freezing even in summer, because the currents come from alaska. day you were on venice beach, was standard winter day where the wind comes from ne and is dry af. your skin becomes like crepe paper immediately, and static electricity is on everything you touch and unpleasant. in summer the beach is windy, worsening toward afternoon because the massive city behind it creates heat which rises and drags in the air from ocean
Seeing how much you loved the In-N-Out fries made me laugh. They’re pretty controversial and many people really don’t like them. I usually order them “light well (done)” and they’re tolerable
LA is a terrible city to visit. All the touristy areas are the worst parts of the city. Amazing place to live though.
Hollywood is probably such trash because it's within the city limits of Los Angeles and subject to its terribly inefficient/corrupt government.
LA is flat because of the imminent danger of earthquakes
what trail did yall take to get to the hollywood sign
I’ve been to LA a few times for work between 2002-2018. I’ve cycled a cruiser from Malibu to Marina Del Ray, driven a 911 through the canyons, visited many bars, and checked out a few of the ‘sites’. I’ve loved it every time. Could see myself living there as it’s close to a lot of cool stuff too.
