Olympic National Park Itinerary 3-Day Scenic Road Trip from Seattle | Must-See Spots!

3-day Olympic National Park road trip itinerary Now is the best time to visit!

We started and ended this route in Seattle. Of course, if you have more days, you will explore more, and it is definitely worth it. However, our time was limited and we had to do a very detailed research of what to include in our three days. Here’s what we did and with some additional tips of how you can improve it:

On your way there stop at Tree of Life at Kalaloch Beach. I didn’t add it to the video because we only spent there about five minutes, but it’s a unique place and worth a shot stop.

Hoh Rainforest – check my reels from a couple days ago for the detailed tips about what to do there!

Stay in Forks

Rialto Beach – get to the famous Hole-in-the-Wall via a 3.3 mi gorgeous beach trail. It is a natural arch rock formation that’s a must-visit at low tide. There are tide pools too!

Cape Flattery – a short walk to the most northwestern point in the contiguous U.S. with breathtaking views of sea stacks and the Pacific Ocean. You can spot seabirds and marine wildlife from the overlooks. Just 1.2 mi round trip.

Sol Duc Falls – an easy 1.6-mile round trip hike to one of the park’s most iconic waterfalls.

Lake Crescent
• There are several pullouts along the road for pretty pictures
• Optional with a small detour: Devil’s Punchbowl trail (2.4 mi)
• Marymere Falls (1.8 mi)

Watch sunset and at Lake Crescent Lodge and stay there overnight or stay at Port Angeles

Lake Cushman
• Stop at Lake Cushman Lookout for a beautiful view or a picnic.
• Staircase Rapids Loop Trail – take an easy 2 mile loop hike along the river with stunning views of rapids and old-growth forest.

Make sure to respect nature: pack out all waste, stay on marked trails, and enjoy the incredible biodiversity this park has to offer!
