ABOUT ME
My name is Crosby and I’m a solo traveler, digital nomad, and full-time traveler! After a few corporate jobs throughout college, I quickly realized that the 9-5 lifestyle wasn’t for me. So in 2019, I took the leap into the freelance world and started traveling the world full-time – from solo traveling Mexico to road tripping Portugal to living in a travel trailer, I’m absolutely addicted to this lifestyle. I just finished up traveling solo around Indonesia and documenting everything here on YouTube!

I'm glad you had a great time in our city. Your video is outstanding for people interested in visiting Chicago. Come back soon!
Great video especially for realistic feedbacks on the visit. Did you stay closer to the main spots? any recommendations would be super helpful! me and my wife are going to visit first week of november hopefully it won't be super cold and we can enjoy the time.
It looks like you had an awesome time! You need to come back to see Navy Pier. There are usually some boat tours that go out from there so you can explore as well!
meh
I live in the burbs about 35 miles from downtown. We make a pilgrimage couple of times a month just to experience the city and everything it has to offer. You see something different every season of the year especially winters aren't what they used to be. We just had a 4 day staycation in Chicago and absolutely had a blast. If you never visited this amazing city, I highly recommend it.
i go to chicago every year and it always gets better each time i go
What a lot of people don't get is the "Bean" reflects the entire Chicago Skyline. I'm old enough to remember when it was installed. It was meant to be a reflection of the entire city.
Aside from wandering around Andersonville & Lincoln Park, you truly did yourself a disservice! Chicago is not Michigan Ave, the loop or downtown. If you want to truly have a Chicago experience, get into the neighborhoods with a resident!!!! The food is far better – like Nancy's pizza – it puts that other crap to shame!
What is the best airport to go?
As a local it was so funny seeing the tourists complain when they couldn’t see the bean but I think it is open again
I live in Chicago burbs. No one here cares about the Bean. Its 100% a tourist attraction
I was born and raised in Chicago ( welcome to Chicago )
Downtown is not what Chicago is like. Even the "good" neighborhoods aren't that good anymore. Take a trip into the neighborhoods next time or try the 'hood. Notice how they didn't go out at night and only did tourist stuff in the yuppie neighborhoods?
1:49 fun fact about that Apple Store, we Chicagoans HATE that Apple store. That store sits on the very ground that Jean Baptiste Point du Sable (the first person to settle what would be known as Chicago, effextively making him the first Chicagoan) had his home at, and there was a statue of him there to commemorate it (the nearby Michigan Ave. Bridge is even also called DuSable Bridge as well) and when the Apple store was being built there, the statue was removed. Essentially, that place is sacred ground to us Chicagoans, and having an Apple store there is basically sacred grounds being desecrated.
Chicago the best city in the world
Thanks for the Chicago love!
Loveddddd this. I’m going next week for work!
Sure Chicago is amazing. Your videography was even more amazing. Nice work! Subscribed and hope to see more cities through both of your eyes. BTW I visited Navy Pier once. It is also awesome.
Good video likeable personalities
Please please! As a chicagoan if you are gonna try some deep dish please go to Peaquod's. It's a staple and has some of the best. They also have great tavern style. In my opinion Lou's can be for the tourists from Naperville
I don't get to travel a lot but Chicago is always one of my favorite places to visit.
Anyone know the exact location of @6:29
Lou Malnati's is ok but IMO, far from the "best". Glad you enjoyed it but there are many better.
Mostly we do thin square-cut pizza but occasionally we'll go for the deep dish. And I gotta mention that Dylan's plain hot dog (with ketchup?!) is not a proper Chicago dog.
