There are so many things to see. Holocaust Museum, the Mint, Capitol Building, Vietnam War Memorial. Arlington National Cemetery, Jefferson Memorial, and you could even make your way out to the Naval Academy and visit Annapolis. Why in the hell would I go to DC for a zoo or theme park?

6 Flags is not DC! Omg. This is terrible! All the art, the buildings, you picks something outside the city? What about Arlington Cemetery. This video is a waste of time.
Take 2 days to choose which other Smithsonian museums of interest including Natl. Portrait Gallery, The Freer, Museum of African Art, also Museum of American Indian. Also no mention of the National Gallery of Art, National Museum of Women in the Arts, the Corcoran Gallery, the Philip's Collection, the GWU Textile Museum, et al. (Writing this as a native Washingtonian but in wee hrs, forgive typos). For theatre, the Folger or Arena Stage, with some others midtown.
The National Arboretum is a drive to- heading out of town on New York Ave.
