7 Legendary Hikes Within 30ish Minutes of San Francisco!

Here are 7 legendary hikes within 30(ish) minutes of San Francisco.

A few are over 30 minutes, but they’re worth it!

1⃣ Muir Woods – Walk through ancient redwoods just 27 minutes from SF. A must-see at least once, even if it’s a bit cliché.

2⃣ Battery Spencer – That iconic Golden Gate shot? This is where you get it, and it’s about 20 minutes from SF!

3⃣ Dipsea Trail – A legendary route through Muir Woods to the sea. It’s 45 minutes out, but it’s one of the best hikes in the Bay.

4⃣ Point Bonita Lighthouse – Coastal views + a secret tunnel? Yes! It’s only 20 minutes from the city.

5⃣ Hawk Hill – Sweeping Bay views just 16 minutes away. It’s one of my favorite views in the Bay Area!

6⃣ Alamere Falls – One of only a few rare waterfalls known as “tide falls” that drop right into the ocean.

Technically an hour from SF, but it deserves a spot on any “legendary” list.

7⃣ Mt. Tam East Peak – A classic. 360° views of the Bay and beyond. About 45 minutes away.

Which one are you doing first?
