Tacos el gordo is absolute dog shit. It’s flavorless meat covered in an insane amount of onions and guac. It tastes like you’re just chewing on onions and guacamole. No flavor. Not to mention it’s $5 for a taco. I’ve had better tacos in Utah for $1
I've lived in San Diego for 10 years and have never eaten at any of these places and probably never will.

There's a reason there's a separate line for the adobada at Tacos El Gordo. Fully, 100% worth the hype and wait. Don't waste your time getting anything else, including the carne asada, which is pretty forgettable, IMO.
Honestly gotta love living in San Diego my whole life (though I am still just a teenager) and never eating at any of these places
