  1. Hey Chris! I'm going to DC this summer for the 250th birthday celebrations. Traveling by Amtrak from NY Penn. Thanks for all the tips and recommendations! 🤗😎👍

  2. I have been to Ottawa many times as it is a 5 hour train ride from Toronto. There are tours of Parlement which are free, except one of the buildings is closed for refurbishment . The museums are great. I like the Canadian museum of history in Gatineau Quebec which is across the river from Ottawa. There are lots of hotels downtown and even the old ottawa jail which has been turned in a hostal. Public transit is good and very walkable city.

  3. I lived in the DC area for 12 years. Loved it for about 10, then was over that lifestyle. I had a short visit back a year ago & its definitely nice to visit then go back to my tropical destination 🙂

  4. Hey Chris 👋 Wow 😳 catchy shirt. I can't stop looking 🫩. Good video on dc. I wanna visit the African American museum 🖼️ out there . When u gonna do a video on nc? Lots to see and do here. 😊❤ Plus I'm on Fayetteville ❤. We got beaches, malls, museums, an amusement park, casinos, bbq, etc. I hope u had a good trip . Safe travels, alita 🌹🏖️

  5. This was a very informative video Chris. I appreciate that your videos take a lot of the pain out of researching for trips. Have you ever been to Paris, France and if so would you be willing to do a video with this kind of format for Paris?

  6. I was able to visit the United Polaris Lounge on my recent visit. And I can see why you recommend it, I enjoyed the food and the restaurant staff was very nice too.
And while the service desk staff probably couldn’t do much for me as a LH flyer, they seemed pretty determined not to try too hard or even pretend to try, that was a bit disappointing. LH and United are both Star Alliance after all.

  7. I returned from DC two days ago. Stayed just south of the Mall. I agree with the “lack of restaurants”-assessment. I did however integrate my meals into the visits to the wharf and the area north of the Mall before I went back to my hotel, so it ultimately wasn’t a big deal.

  8. the shirt haha, i attempted to plan a trip to DC two days ago I had an unexpected vacation, quickly canceled plan when I saw hotel prices on booking, like seriously impossible. i stayed in Rockville back in 2019.

  9. Thanks Chris for another informative video. Your viewers may also want to know that there are elevators at every DC metro station. They may want to sign up for DC Metro alerts to find out if there are any current issues with the metro system. This includes the trains and buses.

  10. Sorry, I can't visit. As an Australian I will not provide my social media history and family details/contact information at immigration for evaluation. Perhaps down the track when the US returns to a more free country.

PS: I do realise these conditions of entry are proposed, but the world is a big place with lots of amazing places to see without these "proposed" laws.

  11. I'm personally not a fan of Reagan Intl, I would eat the inconvenience of going to Dulles if I were staying in DC. The reason is safety. I know people get in and out of there just fine every day, but let's just say that the FAA has not quite gotten around to, nor shown much interest in for that matter, implementing several of the safety recommendations that came out of the NTSB investigation, resulting from the deadly collision that happened there last year.

  12. I lived and worked in DC/ Maryland/ VA area for appx 6 years. If you want to visit DC monuments etc. I would ALWAYS rec staying in a hotel very close to the Metro. You can get around so easily. But be careful, it can take you to some bad neighborhoods to like SE …Bethesda, Chevy Chase areas are nice. 😊 National Cathedral is a must, Smithsonian, National Art Gallery, walk the Nat Mall all wonderful!❤🎉
